The opposition for Tinubu shall begin in the Southwest. Batists like to give the impression that Tinubu has the South on lockdown but he doesn't even have the entire Southwest on lockdown. Recent events in Lagos and Osun has proved that. Obi will contest again in 2027 rendering his "It's the turn of the south" agenda dead on arrival.

Tinubu got 5.6m votes from the North in 2023 and it will be a miracle if he gets a third of that number in 2027. Atiku may likely decamp to the SDP under the umbrella of the coalition and Seyi Makinde or Bala Mohammed will pick up the PDP ticket. If Makinde succeeds, it's double jeopardy for Tinubu. Barring rigging, how does Tinubu intend to win in 2027? Right now, Tinubu will do anything to prevent another Yoruba man from getting a presidential ticket under any party hence his latest flattering of Osinbajo and palpable fear when the "fake" news of Akinwunmi Adesina contesting circulated.

When men talk of the future, the gods laugh.
It is not a prophecy. It is simply an informed prediction and analysis of current realities. The only constant thing in life is change. Without getting similar number of support from the North, Tinubu cannot replicate 2023 because I don't think he has gained enough new supporters to make up for the ones he has lost already. You need to feel the current pulse of the North (his main base in 2023) to understand.

Tinubu will still be reelected. You northerners don't own the country. Always looking for power and nothing show for the years in power. The north remains the poverty capital of. Nigeria. Tinubu is not Jonathan that you all bully and later gang up. I like the way he is putting you people to your place. You people are the least educated but will one to be in important position.

You people like to flatter Osinbajo.

Osinbajo is not a grassroots politician and even on his best day he will never defeat Tinubu in an election in Nigeria.

Okay. After all the venting, where does Tinubu intend to get his numbers from? It's a simple question. Are you now banking on the South to deliver your Man Friday after ganging up with the North to usurp the Southeast via Muslim-Muslim ticket? Obi will contest in 2027, vote him in to prove that your support for Tinubu is truly because he's a Southerner and not because he's Yoruba. Cry as loud as you can, Tinubu cannot rally the "South" behind him because he's largely seen as a usurper by the other south.

He's putting Northerners to their place but in favour of who? The entire South or just him and his Lagos boys? You must really think the Southeast and Southsouth are fools.

No one should claim they want to rescue Nigeria though. It's obvious that the "rescue" or "change" mantra is a whole of BS.

If not because of the hate Tinubu and his fellow yorubas have for the Southerners especially the igbos, who's Elrufai or Hausa fulanis to decide who and who is next to govern the country. But the traitors from the brown roof region like to dey lick the A$$ of the Hausa fulanis their slave masters, but anytime their slave masters wants to do anything evil against them, that's when you see them talking about Southern unity. I don't know why this level of hypocrisy is always found among people in your region?

False! Tinubu won with 5.6m votes from the North. He only won 5 states in the entire South (Rivers state and 4 southwest states). If 2023 tickets repeat itself, Tinubu will not get even half of his Northern votes in 2027. Where does he intend to make up for the numbers with Obi contesting as well? I need a practical answer.

You are incorrect. Now read below for why i think your analysis is short.

1. Atiku contesting under any other political party is an own goal. He needs a party with a nationwide structure to improve his chances of winning and only PDP out of all the opposition parties have that. Atiku must take over PDP rather than run away as a leader

2. Obi contesting alone is a sure way to return Tinubu to power in 2027,just like it happened in 2023. Only a coalition of many strong political parties can ride on the wave of northern polotical leaders discontent with Tinubu. Atiku has a lot to do here and should be catalysing the scattered opposition into one strong bloc, including Kwankwanso. He should take a lesson from Tinubu on what he did between 2012 to 2014 tp birth APC

3. Atiku remains the only one with popularity in the north and the wherewithal to defeat Tinibu. Others are time wasters. Obi wont get the number of votes he received in 2023, most of those sympathy votes are fizzling away.

4. Any SWesterner who tries to vie for presidency under any other party will only waste his money and time. Tinubu now has the SW on semi- lockeddown. What happened in 2023 wont repeat itself again even though the opposition will still have a considerable number and a strong opponent from a party with
a grounded structure like PDP will garner the required 25% in all SW states and even more that in some states. So Tinubu does not need to prevent any SWestener, such a person wont even sell in the market.

4. Tinubu wishing Osinbajo a happy birthday does not have any political connotation aside from complimentary felicitations. It is myopic to think that will stop anyone who is interested in contesting from doing so.

5. Tinubu is losing a lot of popularity in a lot of places and while this is going to make his ride to 2027 presidency a more tedious one than the 2023 one, the opposition can help him overcome that by being self-centred, visionless, uncoordinated and senseless. Anything outside ans Atiku/Obi combo under a grounded party like PDP is a one way ticket for Tinubu to win 2027.

6. Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed are lightweights in this matter . Nobody considers them

7. If PDP fails to get its house on order, the crisis ans aftermath of not putting up a strong candidate for 2027 may obliterate the party from Nigerian political space

I agree with you on your some of your points like Tinubu may not get the huge number from the North again( especially if a strong Northerner is contesting and Buhari is no longer there to boost his support) and that Tinubu may not sweep entire SW 100%

AMINDA:

U are underestimating the power of incumbency...
BAT is a seasoned politician that knows how to play the game...
Money and Power is a tough combination to beat...
And tougher....... if you have a President that knows how to wield both combinations effectively ...
Adeleke can be bought with a second term if Osun will vote BAT as Presidency ...
BAT will still win Lagos ... and SWest ....irrespective of all these events....
Osinbajo at his peak as a Vice President count not unseat BAT..
Bringing Makinde or Adesina is a waste of time.
Bala Mohammed dont have the cult following like Buhari in the North..
PDP is in disarray, Labour is in shambles....with no coordinated opposition in place...
Sincerely ..its BATs game to lose ...
