His statement may look ridiculous but he's got a point but everything will depend on how he succeeds at Barca with UCL, Laliga and what he does with Spain.

In your entire history, no LB has been able to defend, dribble and attack like Balde with such speed. Alba was one way; up and down then cross to Messi or whoever, he wasn't a good dribbler like Balde. Balde dribbles like a winger. Abidal was just like Kounde.
Defensively solid, good ball carrier but not elite dribbler like Balde.

Like I said it'll depend on team success. if Balde adds like one or two UCL and two more Laliga he'll be greater than Alba and equals Abidal. But this is very difficult to achieve i.e Balde winning two UCL so it'll most likely not happen. So that makes his statement a bit ridiculous like I opined earlier. Time shall tell.
