Police Arrest Port Harcourt-Based “Stroke” Pastor Umeke Miracle Of Dynamic Flame Of Fire Ministries For Unlawfully Detaining Wife At Home For Five Days

The leader of the Dynamic Flame of Fire and Miracle Ministries, Prophet Umueke Miracle, has been arrested by the police for detaining his wife, Success, for five days in a house in the GRA area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported on Sunday that Success had been freed and that Prophet Umueke Miracle had been invited by the police over the alleged illegal confinement of his wife.

Confirming the development to SaharaReporters, the state police commissioner, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, said, "I have told them to take him to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The DC (Deputy Commissioner) will handle it there."

SaharaReporters learned that Prophet Miracle was taken into custody after honouring a police invitation to appear at the station. This came after DPO Abacha led a police team to his house to free Success from detention.

At the house, CP Adepoju contacted Prophet Miracle by phone and confronted him directly about the allegations of detaining his wife.

However, Prophet Miracle denied the accusation. When the commissioner requested to speak with Mrs. Miracle, the cleric insisted that he was the husband and that the commissioner should speak with him first.

CP Adepoju then directed that both Prophet Miracle and his wife accompany the police team to the station for questioning. However, Prophet Miracle said he needed to preach in church since it was a Sunday.

The commissioner allowed him to proceed with the church service but ordered the police team to take Mrs. Miracle to the station to ensure her freedom and allow her to give a statement.

SaharaReporters followed the police team to the station to ensure Mrs. Miracle’s safety.

At the station, Success confirmed that her husband had denied her access to her family and restricted her communication.

"Any little thing, he would seize the phone. Everyone in the house does not have a phone because of me, so that I would not get any phone to make calls," she told the police.

According to Success, the incident stemmed from a long-standing pattern of control and financial abuse in their marriage, which began in 2017.

She revealed that her husband had imposed strict rules forbidding her from opening a bank account or having independent financial resources, despite not providing her with money for personal expenses.

"We have been married since 2017. Anytime we have issues, he would put me under house arrest. He made it clear that I should not have my own money or even open a bank account, but he wasn't giving me money either," Success exclusively told SaharaReporters.

“Regarding the current issue, he made some rules that I should not have my own money, I should not even open bank account. But he is not giving me money.”

She alleged that Prophet Miracle had been accumulating properties in his name while engaging in extramarital affairs. Attempts to request financial settlement from him were dismissed, with the pastor insisting he could not use church funds to settle their marital issues.

Faced with financial hardship, Success said she secretly opened a bank account with Access Bank and started a small business selling water and other supplies needed for the ministry.

She disclosed that some ministry staff supported her by helping with sales and depositing proceeds into her account.

However, Prophet Miracle eventually discovered the account through one of his secretaries. Success alleged that her husband tricked bank staff into revealing her account balance by falsely claiming he intended to deposit ₦500 million into the account. The staff disclosed that Success had a balance of ₦5 million.

She said, “Anytime I tell him that he should settle me (give me money) that I want to go, I want to leave him, he will say he has no money. I keep telling him that he should remember how I helped him, how I suffered with him and it will be my loss to leave him without being settled.

“So I thought of having a bank account. I opened Access Bank account. And I started doing some business. I started selling water and other stuff needed in the ministry. I told some of the staff about it and they helped me in getting sales.

“They always send money made from the business into my Access Bank account. My husband did not know about it.”

"Then he accused me of stealing his money and running a business under his ministry without his permission," Success said.

On Tuesday night, Prophet Miracle forced his wife into his car and took her to a house in GRA, behind Casablanca, opposite the former Rita Gate.

Success said that he confiscated all her phones to prevent her from contacting anyone.

She said, “He lied to the bank staff the he wanted to make a deposit of N500 million in the account since I am his wife. This is what made the bank to check what I had in the account. They told him my balance.”

"He told me he was going to sue me and has kept me here since Tuesday night. It’s not a prison; it's a normal house that I think he rented," she added.

Following allegations that Prophet Miracle had police leadership in the state in his pocket, SaharaReporters contacted the Rivers State Police Commissioner, CP Olugbenga Adepoju.

The commissioner swiftly mobilised a police team, led by DPO Abacha, to the house where Mrs. Success Miracle was being held.

“I don’t know any pastor. How can I allow someone to be locked inside the house? Am I an animal? How would a commissioner of police allow that? Even a DPO would not allow that? For what reason? People exaggerate a lot,” he said.

“They will say these things so that the situation will look very serious. They will say, ‘Someone is dead,’ and when you rush there, ‘they will admit that nobody died, and say ‘my husband was beating me but if I didn’t say that, the police may not come.’ That is how they tarnish people’s image. I don’t even know the pastor; they say his name is Pastor Miracle. I’m a very decent human being who was brought up well; I’m not that kind of person.”

Sometimes, if we don't go to court in a civil matter we'd go to the grave in a brutal manner instead.

Any human being who collects money/tithe/offering/first fruit or anything from other humans on behalf of the maker of the universe is a THIEF . You don't need a judge to tell you that.

Any human who gives money to another human with the mindset that he/she is giving money to the creator of the universe or any unseen entity is not only a big fool but a mad person.

Any man who tells you he works for the maker of the universe is a thief. He works for his stomach. He must one day come to tell you his "all-sufficient " god whom he works for needs your money. The woman have to explain how she gets 5 million naira only from selling pure water. Honestly the couple is crooked and they are fighting over the wealth of the gullible members they defraud through offerings. the man knows his wife's aim of over throwing him if he open any financial door for her..

Meanwhile, she is a pastor's wife and she preach, but she blatantly lie to her husband about the account. Two money hungry scammers..

Prophet Miracle Of Dynamic Flame Of Fire Ministries: Assaulted TV Worker In 2022, Sent Thugs To Destroy Another Church Property In 2021, Arrested For COVID-19 Violations In 2020

In October 2022, Mr. Umueke Oruaro Miracle, the leader of Dynamic Flame of Fire and Miracle Ministries in Woji, Port Harcourt, assaulted Mr. Glorious Abel, the Production Director of Rivers State Television (RSTV), for cutting short his sponsored programme.

According to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the incident occurred on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

Reports state that Mr. Abel ended the pastor’s broadcast after it exceeded the 30 minutes he had paid for, with the programme running for 38 minutes.

Following this, Prophet Miracle allegedly stormed the RSTV premises at around 11 p.m. with his security detail, forcibly taking Mr. Abel to an unknown location where he was reportedly tortured.

The RSTV Chapel of the NUJ condemned the incident in a statement signed by its then-Chairman, Joy Edmund, and Secretary, Justice Ihunwo.

The union described the pastor’s actions as “the height of irresponsibility, impunity, rascality, and hooliganism,” stating that such behavior was unbefitting of a clergyman. The NUJ criticised Prophet Miracle for using violence instead of following proper administrative channels to address his grievances.

“The RSTV Chapel of NUJ is calling on the government to step into the matter and ensure that the police bring the pastor and his accomplices to book to act as a deterrent,” the statement read.

History of Violence

Narrating his ordeal to The PUNCH, Abel said, “When he came, I checked the programme. It was about 38 minutes and above the normal time, we are supposed to put on the air. So to enable me to accommodate other programmes, I have to cut part of it.”

Abel added that during the programme, the prophet attempted to contact him, but was unable to do so because Abel had blocked him due to previous incidents, which he described as disturbances.

“So he now used one of his aide’s numbers to call me. When he called me, he asked somebody to tell me to come outside my office.

“I replied that I can’t go outside because it was late, about past 10 pm. While I was inside doing my job, I heard another knock. When I got there saw one of our security staff who told me that the acting General Manager of RSTV asked him to pick something from the reception stand.

“I told him to show me what he wanted so that I can give it to him. But he insisted that I should open the office that the acting GM asked him to pick something inside. Immediately I opened the gate, I saw the pastor who came down from his car with some armed security men. They hit me with their gun and beat me up.

“As you can see, my face is swollen. They held me on the floor and beat me up. If I show you my back you will see scars. Then they took me to an unknown destination. The experience was terrible,” he said tearfully.

But reacting to the claims, Prophet Miracle described the claims as defamatory and malicious.

On February 16, 2021, the Spirited Children Fellowship Center reported that Prophet Miracle dispatched thugs to Onokuno Street in the Woji community near YKC to destroy properties belonging to the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star at around 1 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021.

According to the report, several people were injured during the attack, and the thugs also attempted to abduct a member of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.

It noted that the member would have been kidnapped if not for the intervention of other members of Olumba church.

Previous Troubles

This was not the first time Prophet Miracle faced controversy. On May 12, 2020, he was arrested by the then-Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Solomon Abel Eke, for flouting the Rivers State Government’s COVID-19 restrictions.

Despite the state’s directive to suspend all gatherings to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Prophet Miracle held a deliverance service with over 100 worshippers in attendance at the church’s location in Golden Valley Estate, Woji.

Residents had reportedly warned the pastor to suspend services, but he refused, prompting them to alert the local government chairman. Mr. Eke, who confirmed the arrest, said the pastor endangered the lives of worshippers and neighbouring residents by failing to implement precautionary measures.

“Yesterday, I received a call from concerned residents that a church was holding a service with over 100 persons in attendance. There were no precautionary measures in place; the church was endangering the lives of worshippers and residents of the area,” Mr. Eke said.

The church was subsequently sealed, and Prophet Miracle was taken into custody for violating COVID-19 safety protocols.

On Sunday, March 9, 2025, SaharaReporters exclusively reported that Miracle had been arrested by the police for detaining his wife, Success, for five days in a house in the GRA area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported on Sunday that Success had been freed and that Prophet Miracle had been invited by the police over the alleged illegal confinement of his wife.

Confirming the development to SaharaReporters, the state police commissioner, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, said, “I have told them to take him to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The DC (Deputy Commissioner) will handle it there.”

You want a narcissist to "settle" you before you run away from him?

And I won't be surprised if the foolish woman still runs back to the "man of God" after this.

Hmm...what is the society turning into

Some people will support anything even when they know it is wrong. The greed is just too much. No wonder the colonialists were able to take slaves because their own people sold them.

One thing is sure though. If you think you will escape poverty by supporting criminality and things that are morally wrong, you will return to that poverty speedily and it will never depart from your household. Whatever you think you have acquired through evil means will vanish in a miraculous way in Jesus Name. Oya say Amen. Amen!!!
