Nigerian comedian and activist Adebowale “Debo” Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has made it clear that he will continue to ignore Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, no matter the situation. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

For those keeping up with this ongoing tension, Mr Macaroni has a history of publicly avoiding Governor Sanwo-Olu. In 2023, he made headlines for snubbing the governor at an event, an act that stirred mixed reactions online. On another occasion, he was visibly reluctant when pressured to greet the governor, but eventually gave in.

However, the comedian has now drawn a firm line. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Mr Macaroni stated that he will no longer be forced into acknowledging or interacting with the Lagos State governor. In fact, he promised that even if the governor personally calls out to him, he will not respond.

In his words:

“This is the last time I will address this matter. It is not worth my peace of mind. Since you people won’t stop attacking me because I didn’t greet Governor Sanwo-Olu, next time I see him, I still won’t greet him. And this time, even if he calls me, I won’t answer. You people will cry today, tomorrow, and forever!”

If you don’t like someone, there should be no need to do eye service irrespective of the position the person holds. So far you do not disrespect the person or insult him unprovoked, you can keep your distance and choose not to greet them.
