A former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, has hinted on the opposition forming a coalition ahead of the 2027 presidential election, ThisDay Nigeria reports.

Ologbondiyan warned the ruling party that what is coming is heavy.

Speaking on AIT, the PDP chieftain said: “What is coming is heavy, what is imports the desire, readiness of the opposition figures to pull together.

“And if the picture we are picking is right, I would ask Nigerians to go and rest because there is hope ahead. In Ghana, opposition won an election.”

This comes as former PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar confirmed the moves to form an opposition coalition.

Atiku confirmed moves by the opposition to form a coalition while denying claims of defecting to the Social Democratic Party, SDP.

Until the marginalization against the South East is addressed squarely, I wonder what’s heavy that the opposition can propose or present and only hope it’s not going to be a case of frypan to fire.
