Forming a coalition to take power requires alot to get strong members on your side.

What will el rufai offer governors to join him

Sitting Governors are very powerful in Nigeria and to have a formidable coalition he needs Governors to join him but from the look of things I don't see which Sitting Governor will want to join and contest under SDP.


El rufai himself is not someone who have helped alot of politicians in the country. He isn't someone that command loyalty from any zone of the country hence him being the face of the coalition wont attract much.


Lastly in all of this I know El rufai is only fighting for 2031. Not being relevant and push aside is killing his ambitions.

Not being close to sit of power is disadvantage to his quest but playing opposition will make people see him more.

El rufai doesn't have what it takes to like him or rally people to his side,but he can be formidable foe, that's is his only use,to help spoil things for Tinubu and help the opposition, he is intelligent to Marshall his points,point out the flaws of Tinubu, he is fearles ,he can confront Tinubu and his soldiers who ever they are
So the dull opposition we have will soon be over
That's the only use el rufai can be put into

5: Has he abandoned the project altogether to focus on politics?
6: Or was it just lamba with no PhD in question at any time?

You think any of these politicians, except for probably Peter Obi and Atiku(despite his relative corruption) has a true future vision and care that much about Nigeria and the common folks?

There is likely going to be a coalition. El rufai's game is to have foothold in SDP so that by the time negotiation starts, he will have strong seat at the table.

He only wants to use Obi to his advantage. He knows Obi will not contest under LP again, and PDP will not give him a ticket. So he planned to woo Obi to SDP and be his deputy so that will boost his 2031 presidential ambition.
