Keeping being sentimental and tribalistic. It's okay. Even if the rain doesn't touch you, it'll surely touch one of your family members. We all shop at the same markets. And the election you speak of wasn't won by Tinubu.
so who won?

Like IBB and MKO, maybe Tinubu will be honest enough to say the truth when and if he decides to write a memoir.

I wish you guys can be capable of divorcing yourselves from your sentiments. I don't care who is ruling Nigeria as long as they rule well. The tribe, region, or religion becomes inconsequential. Tinubu isn't ruling well. Period. I'm pro Sowore as he seems untainted by the poison of corruption and dishonesty.

Sowore? A propagandist.

He lacks decorum. He is not fit at all.
If I see 1BillionThumbs on one ballot paper and sowore on the other, I will vote the former.

El-Rufai just ported to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) after consultattions with the immediate past president, Buhari, former vice president Atiku Abubakar of PDP, and Tinubu's once right-hand man and former governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola.

Up North now, there is Buhari who is in APC but not in APC (he clearly didn't want Tinubu for president except for the "emilokan" outburst), Kwankwaso of NNPP and the Kwankwasiya Movement, now El-Rufai of SDP, then finally Atiku of PDP. All formidable splinters of the opposition.

In the South, we have current president Tinubu of APC, Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP), and Omoyele Sowore of African Action Congress (AAC). The strongest of these three politically and at the same time the least liked is Tinubu. Peter Obi has the more popularity over Sowore and the most acceptance across the national strata of the three.

Tinubu, though the president, has become even less marketable due to untold economic hardships and hunger brought on the Nigerian masses by his leadership policies -- such as has never been experienced before in the history of the country. Both up North and down South, the general sentiment about him is of regret. The average man won't want to vote him again even with pay (though I won't be too surprised, this is Nigeria where the people are too quick to forget).

Enter Peter Obi

Sowore, despite being the best of the three, if integrity and consistency are yardsticks, still lacks the political reach and structure to realistically emerge victorious. His day will come and I await eagerly for it like the dawning of a new age. And with him out, we're left with Peter Obi and his Obidient movement.

Agreed, the current president, who is a Southerner, is a disaster, nevertheless, it is still the turn of the South. The North was allowed to complete their 8 years in Buhari. The South must also do the same, though not in Tinubu as no one can bear to have him anymore. His ousting for someone from the same region to take over is not only an answer to the heaves and sighs of the suffering and impoverished people of Nigeria, it also serves the political interests of many that he has had a falling out with (and he has no shortage of those, literally the entire North, South and every honest Nigerian).

To honour the region-by-region power-sharing arrangement, the North is most likely going to align with Peter Obi to wrest the throne from Tinubu and APC with hope that he (Obi) would agree to only do the single remaining turn of the South and then let power revert to them in the North. El-Rufai will fight tooth and nail to see this happen much like Rotimi Amaechi did to remove Jonathan and usher in APC and Buhari. It has begun.
Your analysis is great but El' Rufai is actually a nobody. He is known but not popular, not charismatic, not loved. In a free and fair contest, El' Rufai cannot even win a councilorship election.

Tinubu is terrible, an abysmal failure. But an average guy in the South would rather vote Tinubu than follow El' Rufai.

Atiku is more popular than even Buhari in the South. But it is the turn of the South. Peter Obi is good. He is competent and he should be given a chance.

Has anyone pondered the reason behind the NLC's directive to Labour Party's leadership to seek coalition with other parties and PDP admitting that they are interested in a coalition of the willing?.

El rufai is always worse. Also, its d turn of south n Obi cant win right now wit tinubu as president

Factcheck0001:
I don't need to read your thrash but the reality u Igbos fail to realize is that north is not that patient to stay out of power for 12 years cos any southerner that becomes president will use 8 years plus tinubu 4 years.

So do the maths, n beside u think the north will give power to an Igbo especially someone forming Saint n who fails to condemn ipob

Just Dey play
Fear fear. They will support him to save their people from starvation and hardship caused by the fool gambling with Nigeria's destiny.

El-Rufai can't do it on his own and that's why he's seeking mergers. Jonathan underestimated Rotimi Anarchist and look what happened to him. El-Rufai isn't fighting to win...and that makes him very dangerous.

Moreover, it was people with decorum that drove us into the current mess we're in. Maybe it's time we tried indecorum. And by the way, what do you mean by decorum? Is it "table manners" aka not talking while at the same time eating?

You made a huge blunder with Sowore being the better than PO.

Yes, you, whom I have not seen or know how you do your things. I can easily forgive myself for the fact that I made a mistake chosen because I didn't do my due diligence but, sowore I know, I won't forgive myself for chosen him because I knew him too well.

By no decorum, I meant, he social behaviour is nothing to write home about. He has that penchant for 'overdo'. He is no respecter of orderly arrangements and that disruptive attitude of ' if I can't have it, I will scatter it that nobody should have it'

So asking that things be done right and calling out excesses is what you term indecorum? Just know that I'm like him and that's why I identify with him. As for him being dsiruptive, sincerely that's what is required to bring sanity to this nation. I advise you and every Nigerian to try it for a change. I mean for a revolution (note the word is from revolt)

"Sowore despite being the best of the three" shows you don't know what you're talking about. In fact, anyone who takes Yele Sowore remotely serious as a genuine political force is a clown who should concentrate on watching 80's comedy shows cool

PO knows better than to trust El Rufai and his cohort.
If Tinubu brings out the hammer and shatter this contraption of a country into regional government, Igbos will vote for him instead of Obi.
Re: I Foresee The North Throwing Its Weight Behind Peter Obi In 2027 by TheBillyonaire: 1:53am On Mar 11, 2025
Peter Obi will be great after Tinubu, so I recommend we have Peter Obi there at 2031 after Tinubu's second term, and there is nothing the Abokis can do about it, if they do not like, they can form their own country. They have tomatoes and cows after all.

Obi cant win becos he doesn't hav d support he used to.Wat i mean by support is that half Obidient hav given up on Nigeria as after d last sham elections that.last elections people had hope their vote will count bt not anymore.Even if Obi gets d vote he wont still be declared president under tinubu.Tinubu cannot be defeated in a presidential race
