The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) achieved a record-breaking 4,111 convictions in year 2024 which is the highest in its 22-year history.

This and other relevant facts were disclosed in the Commission’s 2024 statistical report that was released in Abuja.

Some other notable info from the report include:

* EFCC processed 15,724 petitions, conducted 12,928 investigations, and prosecuted 5,083 cases.
* Lagos had the highest number of convictions with 685, followed by Enugu and Ibadan with 516 and 501 convictions respectively.
* ₦50 billion recovered from fraud-related cases in 2024 has been invested into the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

EFCC with all its imperfections is still the best LEA in this country. I give them kudos for all the works being done, if not for the EFCC, only God knows where we would have been. Because the police are nowhere to be found again...

The sad thing is that many of them can afford very decent legal representation making their cases more difficult to argue against but in the end, they will all end up like Emefiele
