Anambra Man ,Aguowo Expands Philanthropic Reach, Mulls 36 Schools Across the country.

The IG Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation (IGAHAF) has expanded its impact across Nigeria, providing scholarships, healthcare support, and welfare assistance to vulnerable communities.

Founded in 2020 by Anambra-born businessman Ignatius Onyeka Aguowo, the foundation has sponsored over 600 students across 13 states and funded hospital bills for indigent patients.

Aguowo, who grew up in a modest home in Nibo, Anambra State, said his early experiences with poverty shaped his commitment to philanthropy.

“I know what it means to struggle. That is why I am dedicated to making a difference, especially in education and healthcare,” he said.

Beyond scholarships, IGAHAF has renovated dilapidated schools and is planning to build international schools in all 36 states.

The foundation also aims to establish community hospitals and implement a structured welfare scheme for the most vulnerable Nigerians.

Committed to inclusivity, the foundation operates beyond ethnic and religious boundaries, aligning with global best practices for non-governmental organizations.

“Our goal is to create lasting solutions, not just temporary relief,” Aguowo added.

As IGAHAF continues to expand, its founder remains focused on deepening its impact, emphasizing that true philanthropy is about service, not recognition.

Based on all these, the foundation will be recognized as Best NGO of the Year the Upcoming AMTY Awards scheduled to hold March 22nd

Igbos are industrious, they’ve mastered the art of flipping wealth. Thumbs up to every Nigerian it’s in us.

Na them, and it can only be them.

Just like Rochas and many others from the East built tuition-free schools across the nation, mainly outside their region.

Even rich men from other regions will only concentrate in their regions when they want to do things like this.

When it comes to being detribalized and pro-Nigeria, give it to the Igbos.

You will carry your money and go and build schools for igbos and others, then the others will come back to you for maintenance. A vicious cycle. When islamics get angry for one guy in Denmark that says something about their useless prophet, they will burn the schools.

Is not my money, but I will say don't build for any place outside of SE and SS. How many of their well to do people have done anything for the Igbos. Nigeria is a verified fraud, and not a real country.

So many unknown billionaires in Igbo land.
Igbo's really understand wealth distribution. It's not about having the world's richest man from your village while the rest of the villagers are poor and begging for food.

Well said.
If all Anambra children are not in free schools, then why should he be applauded for his oversabi philanthropy, which may be a prelude to trying to get elected into a position.

Was that not how the statue-crazy Okorocha did on his way to becoming Imo governor?

If the rest of Anambra are not poor and begging for food, then why are they fleeing to Lagos to develop it huh

Igbos like Pandora Bitter Obi, not so?

What is the rank of Anambra and the other four Igbo states in socioeconomic indicators?

[quote author=NLCreator post=126854133]Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has defended the purchase of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for members of the national assembly.

There have been reports that the leadership of the 10th national assembly has bought SUVs for all lawmakers.

Each SUV is said to be valued at N160 million.

The LP had asked members of the party in the national assembly to kick against “wastage”.

While responding to questions during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the former governor of Anambra said the SUVs are not personal cars of the lawmakers, noting that they are for official use.

“Let me start with the issue of Labour Party members in the house. I have actually discussed this issue with them,” Obi said.

“Surprisingly, I can tell you I heard that these vehicles are official cars. They have to use it. It is meant for office.

“So it is not as if it is their vehicle. They said it is official cars and you are meant to use it while you are in the senate.”

Obi also hinted at contesting for the country’s number one position in 2027, adding that Nigeria deserves dedicated and visionary leaders who will lead the country towards a brighter future.

Politics is also local. He will also want to contest for Anambra positions, so I wonder what he hopes to achieve with the wild goose chase of building schools outside Igboland. I will rather vote against him based on that stupid idea alone because he will likely waste resources outside.

Globally, nationalism is growing fast. In Nigeria, regional sentiments is also at all time high. When Rochas built his free schools across Nigeria, even Igbos also applauded him but if it's today, they will call him foolish.

Tinubu has damaged Nigeria beyond repair by encouraging bigotry. Dangote & MRS subsidised fuel for northerners & increased the price for SE & SS. I have never come across any school or enterprise built by others in Igboland but our people keep doing philanthropy to others. Imagine building schools that some foolish hating ronus will attend🤮🤮

Do you really think that your fraudulent governors and obas are better than their SE counterparts, in terms of good records? How many of your leaders have good record abroad especially in the US?
