Governor Fubara has commissioned a palace for the most senior King of the Ikwerre people, HRM, Eze Amadi Worlu Wodo, the Eze Apara of Apara Kingdom and the Nye Nwe Ali of Akpor. He is also Chairman of the Rivers State Council of traditional rulers.

Eze Wodo also bestowed on Fubara the title of "Ome Nma" 1 of Akpor, which translates as he who does good for Akpor people
