If the people doing the illegal bunkering are Nigerian, why is it illegal? If Chukwudi drills oil it's illegal but if Chevron does it's legal? Even with 'illegal refineries', why is that illegal? If NIgeria had sense they would even encourage both and tax them like every other country |

Crude oil theft is the problem. The people in government together with foreign oil companies and our security agencies especially the Army and Navy are stealing Nigeria oil on a daily basis. This affects our oil production and also the reason why we can't reach the opec quota. |

ufotunang:No. You must not narrow it to BAT. If you look back at the government of Buhari, then you can see that production was far less then. It was less than one million per day, while oil thieves sold the rest daily, out of the allocated 1.8m. While he campaigned as a corruption destroyer, he oversaw the massive daily scale of oil theft in the country. Under BAT, it has improved and if government continues tackling oil thieves and putting the necessary infrastructure in place, the daily production target should be met. This country has no business with poverty if not for the wickedness of the leaders. |

Ofodirinwa:Those guys don't have what it takes to drill crude oil from earth; it's a technical job that requires a lot of expertise. They burst pipelines and scoupe crude oil from it. At the end of the day, they'll mess everywhere up. When the crude oil destroys the environment, it's blamed on the production companies. That's why the production companies don't agree to clean up oil spill. Don't let anyone fool you - those guys are destroying their own environment. |

Enemies will refuse to show the positive trajectory which is the improvement from 1.23 million in March 2024 to 1.538 in January 2025 and 1.465 in February 2025. When PBAT took over in May 2023 it was 1.1 if my memory serves me right. Iwaeda with his message of confusion. iwaeda: |
Minister Lokpobiri: Kaduna Refinery Can Not Refine Nigeria Crude Oil • PBAT To Double Nigeria’s Crude Oil, Raise $17.4 Bn By Sell Down NNPPC Assets • Why Nigeria Can’t Meet OPEC’s 1.8mb/d Oil Production Quota ― FG • 2 • 3 • 4
Meeting Disruptions: ADC, SDP Police In Court, Get ₦15 Million Compensation • Jonathan To Keep Power Portfolio For Now • Fake Waec Certificate Ring Smashed .

And we've been told that the Port Harcourt and Warri Refinaries too are back working Contributing to the output from Dangote Refinery and those other multiple modular Refinaries.
