This news is a big lie and false hope. The nimc portal is scrap. Once u pay and want to modify it after uploading the documents and u click submit. It would show u error,value something .both for change of name,dob,etc.its the same error message.

I registered my NIN years ago when i was in school. I didn't get the details then because of my busy schedules.

For years now, av been trying to get it, but it's been one center recommendation to another. Some even claimed they could not find it on the portal. And the system would deny me access to register for a new one because of my thumb print match. Have been using my wife's registered bank account. I even went as far as asking my friends to open account for me using their details.


This NIN mata is very frustrating

Believe this, believe anything. It's been a months since I paid and modified my name on the NIMC website and I was told it's been approved and modified. Unfortunately, up till this moment the portal is still showing my old name and I have complained several times to the customer care only to be sent the same the message. Only recently I was advised to pay another 10k to do another verification through the local NIMC office.

Even as much as I am please with this development which I have done my name modifications of recent, but that can't be said for Date of Birth modification. It is practically impossible to do it by yourself, the process is very cumbersome and most likely reserve for the NIMC official to handle it.
As I type this, I have paid 16340 for Date of Birth modification, where I was ask to get NPC attestation reference number. Went to NPC office in Uyo where I paid 5k for the attestation, only for me to input the reference number from the attestation and it keep telling me Data not found.
