Hope uzodinma has become a planted mole in south east. He's become a tool in the hands of APC to destabilise South east. Imo and ebonyi state has become a fertile ground for APC to cause anarchy in south east. |

chopnaira:It is not a bad idea for the government to support farmers or citizens in a particular sector, but this guys are synonymous with arms carrying, killing, raping and other crimes. So, if this suspicious government should sponsor ranching, they should also budget and spend the same amount of money in purchasing mechanic villages, animals/crops husbandry villages, palm oil villages, cocoa villages, etc in all the states, such that Ijaw man can go to Maiduguri or any state to fish, the Igbo and Yoruba man can also go and sell his motor parts or do his mechanic job in a government land/property without harassment. |

Ranching is not destabilization, jeez! You eat cow meat, you take charge of the production and since you won't do it, you get help ![]() Wizardslayer: |

madridguy:You people dont even think, just emotional reaction to everything. Herdsmen are currently killing you. Bandits are also killing you. So which is better, leave the herdsmen to keep rummaging through farms and forests killing people, or confine them to a specific area where they can be controlled ![]() Think for once, please. |

Shikena:😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You just cracked me up....... State government can provide ranches in their states in the South. And give it out to only people from the south or from their state or interested business investors from the south. Cattle rearing is a billion dollars business . If done properly like the western world...... |

Ranching is currently being done at Fashola in Oyo State and it's working smoothly with the state government involved. Even the past two Oyo State end of the year parties were held at one of the ranches. That specific project at the ranch was built by Amaju Pinnick's company, he is from Delta State. It includes lodging and recreational facilities. Ranching is not about Fulanis! It is agro-business. OctavianAC: |

JuanDeDios:If the government had put the security of lives ahead of other misplaced priorities, this would never have been a menace in the first place. This is practically giving a soft landing to terrorists and miscreants who have maimed and murdered thousands over the years. If you pull this off, what stops other criminals and lowlifes from taking off and demanding settlement too?!! How many terrorists are we going to 'settle' before making national security a top priority?!! What is stopping cow owners and herders from purchasing lands for their own use?!!! What has stopped the national assembly from criminalising and branding these people terrorists all these years?!! I mean... They wasted no time in branding and going after Ipob with the full strength of the army. |

Mopolchi:Maybe if you calm down and reason along with me, it’ll make some sense: 1. They are not taking your land, they want to reclaim their grazing reserves in Igboland. 2. Aba leather industry needs hides and skin which could be provided by herdsmen. 3. Nigerian hides and skin are exported to Europe, while we import finished leather products. 4. If ranches are established in the south east, raw materials would be available for Aba leather industry, jobs would be available and Nigeria will keep its foreign currencies. |

Thank you, our people should learn to be involved and stop crying wolf all the time. Are these Fulanis better educated or smarter than you? We have people in government, so it's not THEM vs US. We should communicate, get details, get involved and get results in our favour! Without the ranches, people are still getting killed anyway and we can't be part of grazing. We can be in charge of ranching. OlofofoCorner: |

lawani:Are you for real? Whatever business you want to engage in, first you must get a skill, then raise capital. Anybody who graze his your cows with someone's crops, is not into business, but terrorism. Anybody who supports such madness is devilish. |

allthingsgood:You can't confine nomads intent on brutality and evil...! Use your brain abeg. This is a silly copout from the head of the nation. Nothing will stop coldhearted killers from leaving an allocated land to seek other 'greener' pastures. A great man once said: "Criminals thrive under the indulgence of a weak society" Our approach to security of lives and properties in Nigeria is pathetic and shameful. |

MAR2012:The only way out to stop the killings is ranching. You don't have to give out your lands. You can get into the business with partnerships. The Fulani are entrenched in it and it is good to put them into consideration too. When everybody has agreed that ranching is the way out, then the people roaming about with cattle will be given a deadline to sort themselves out. They can set up anywhere once they have trucks to gather hay to the ranches. If a family have just one hundred heads of cattle, that is a fairly big business. |

Angelfrost:You asked why it's become an issue, that's what I answered. So you think branding them terrorists (whether they're really terrorists or not) will solve any problem? Hmm. Anyway, I think what government is trying to address is the problem of farmer-herder clash, which was how the problem started, long before criminals took over and started committing mas murder. The fact is that criminals are entering our communities under the guise of being herders. This policy will take that problem away and make it easier to deal with criminals. But, still, goodluck to those chanting "private business private business". They kind of remind me of the guy who was speeding along an expressway, on the RIGHT side of the road. A trailer emerged and started coming head-on to him. People shouted at him to clear off the road, but he said "No, I'm on my right of way." Well, he sped on, damned right. And he was crushed by the trailer, damned right. |

JuanDeDios:Y WE GO DEY GET CLASH WITH PEOPLE ALL THE WAY FROM FUTA JALON, U SURE SAY YOUR HEAD CORRECT? FULANI HAVE A COUNTRY FROM WHERE THEY CAME, LET THEM GO BACK THERE OR WE GO TAKE THEIR BLOOD FERTILIZE IGBO LAND. THEY CAN DO THEIR LAND RUBBISH EVERYWHERE ELSE BUT YOU SEE IGBOLAND, IT WIULL SWALLLOW THEM WHOLE. WE JUST DO NOT JOKE WITH LAND. |

lawani:Well explained. Our people are just too emotional and that's where the Fulani that they underrate are smarter. They are more interested in arguments without thinking. They don't engage for solution but to stand their ground. Even if the FG proposal is not acceptable, Ranching is still the way out. Get your government or your local investors together and ranch heavily. But to me, it's better to work together with the federal government and the state government so an official deadline would be given to those roaming communities in the name of cow herding. Take the product away from them since we know everything is about demand and supply. |

JuanDeDios:Sigh... There is no such thing as "Farmer-herders" clash! Can we just quit that crap?!! That's gaslighting 101. We are talking about the forceful taking of farms, maiming, rape, murder of innocent people here. We are talking about atrocities that are no different from war crimes. Infact, we are talking about the agelong indulgence of nomadic herdsmen simply because they are from specific tribes and regions that are clearly well represented in key parts of government. When you are ready to face the reality of your failed state, let me know. |

Angelfrost:I dont see how it is wise to keep doing exactly the same thing, but expecting a different result Now this epistle you posted totally goes to no point. You have actually said nothing. Security of lives and property is not lip service and empty comments. It requires action. Not just complaining for years and keep doing the same thing. Herder farmer clashes will not stop till there is a demarcation, period. You can stay here and be insulting and blaming everyone under the sky |
