Fubara don't have what it takes to pull this through.

He's not battle hardened enough to confront tinubu and wike forces.

Those pro-Wike lawmakers never know how powerful a state governor is in Nigeria.

fuckJones:
not possible, the process is too long.

you have to first Submit of a petition to the Chairman of INEC, signed by more than 50% of the Registered Voters in the constituency, followed by a verification; and then a referendum.

it's not easy to assemble a group of more than 50% of voters registered to vote in that member’s constituency, some are dead, some relocate, some will support the man they want to recall
But it will keep him on his toes. And rekindle him of issues ahead. It's not too far to elections

My Brother , you have said it all. Lets look at the Bigger picture , the Problem is Wike is using presidency Power to fight the Governor .
Armaggedon:
impeaching a governor is even harder. No governor has been impeached in Nigeria without being returned by the court. My problem is that fubara is too weak and incompetent to mobilize necessary forces and resources to take full charge. With the resources and sympathy at his disposal, it's shameful he has failed to use them

Fubara should come out for open war. The president put him in this mess when he called for the peace talks. He already had Woke by the balls the president intervened , he withdrew the court case.
Ameachi fought head to head even while in opposition. Fubara do it. Wike won't take half of what he is dishing out. Even though I appreciate his work in the FCT
That was his undoing.

You are wrong on this one!
With the Supreme Court Judgement, it implications is that Gov Fubara has already committed an impreachable offence.
It will only take 24hrs for his matter to be concluded
Re: Rivers Crisis: Constituents Commence Recall Proceedings Against Amaewhule by jattopeter(m): 8:58am On Mar 13, 2025
Who told you , go and read about process of impeaching a sitting GOv.
pharmagba:
This is a senseless move!
If Gov Fubara is toeing this part it means he is not wise at all!
Why?
Because the Amaewhule’s fraction still constitute the majority, he cannot recall 27 lawmakers!
If he tries it he will be impeached faster!
Why ?
The process of imprechment is faster!

Characteristics of nonsense.
Utter rubbish.
A lawyer who is writing a petition and still stating that Amaaewhule decamped to APC....

You better go and read the CTC of the SC judgment.

You fellows don't want to learn your lesson.

I learnt a lesson from this their issue.

When having a case or fight(not necessarily physical) and someone came in to meditate a peace talk between the two of you, please don drop your guard.

Wetin weak fubara somehow na that case wey he withdraw that moment the man in Abuja put mouth for their matter, and since then he never really balance.

I like conversing with intellectuals

The only part that may may cause delay is investigation by the chief Judge of Rivers states. And what evidence greater than the supreme Court judgement before a judge.

Dey play!

My brother , lets be honest , I watched the video and was ashamed . He really messed up and that statement alone is enough to cause commotion . Well , its not his fault , I blame the fed. might he was using and still using.
dontbothermuch:
The pro Wike Ijaw members will also be recalled by their constituents following Wike outburst about Ijaw minority statement. Wike messed up at that part
Re: Rivers Crisis: Constituents Commence Recall Proceedings Against Amaewhule by JAWBONE(m): 9:09am On Mar 13, 2025
I said this last year. This is what should have been done since.

In fact they have started the recall in most Local Governments until Fubara decided to go for a nonsense peace meeting in Abuja.

That is why I partly blame Fubara.

He gave up too much
Re: Rivers Crisis: Constituents Commence Recall Proceedings Against Amaewhule by kgr8mike(m): 9:11am On Mar 13, 2025
For gross disrespect of the executive governor of a state, he should be recalled. His actions and inactions is an insult to the office.

Why are you confusing difficult with impossible?

Is it no longer true that where there is a will there is always a way? Did we not see that in the SCON judgement that said the state lawmakers did not defect from PDP despite video and affidavit evidence?

If the constituents are firmly resolved as a critical mass to recall him, then he will be recalled, no matter how difficult the process is.

DezMayorz:
Rivers House Of Assembly Saga: Nigerians Demand Accountability From The Judiciary - JAD.

The Joint Action for Democracy - JAD has called on the conscience of the Nigerians to demand accountability from the judiciary, to protect her independence, and restore confidence in the judiciary as the last hope of justice.

Concerning a viral video showing Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule and others waving the APC flag; The national cordinator of Joint Action for Democracy- JAD, Peter Ameh decried the recent inconsistencies within courts of coordinate jurisdiction and obvious political influence that has bastardized the essence of fairness and justice.

Said that politicians now boastfully use the Judiciary as a weapon to undo their opponents and procure a judgment in their favor.

Using the case of Rivers, JAD released a video showing Rt. Hon. Martin Amawhule and 26 others of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to FCT Minister Nyesom, voluntarily defected from their original political party without any established crisis within the party and swore to an affidavit to authenticate their defection.
JAD argues that they automatically lost their seats as prescribed by Law.

‘We have seen how they still boast that they shall influence the Judiciary in their favor.

Nigerians especially Rivers people rely on the Supreme Court to put the record straight without any undue influence.
The Supreme Court as the highest decision maker is expected to protect the sanctity of Nigeria's Judicial system to avert the breakdown of law and order in the oil-rich Rivers State.’ - Joint Action for Democracy JAD said.

It's not possible to get 50% of registered voters in his constituents to support the recall. I don't even think they had up to that as voters turnout in the last election.

You're assuming the opposition are sitting on their hands. State governments don't control INEC. I hope you know that?
