Where is Ngozi from? I know it will be Etche or Obigbo, although the name can be anyone from the upland Igbo areas.

When a governor is impeached, the deputy automatically becomes the governor.
she's from the orashi region, that's if you know the place, because a lot of strangers are putting their mouth into this rivers state issue without knowing anything about the dynamics of the state

Very funny how Fubara is now fighting to remain in office and not the other way round when he was doing everything to have the duly elected 27 man House seats declared vacant.

Oga, your Fubara is now begging for negotiation and you are here spewing trash from your dingy 2×2 lockupl shop.

The Panel is the one to oversee the impeachment process and not the final verdict as that will be tabled to the entire house by voting .

The panel will also have on its board members of the same Rivers Assembly.

The CJ's role is limited to selecting members of the house to the impeachment panel and nothing more. The CJ will not have any more hands in the matter beyond constitutiing a panel from the same House of Assembly .
Read steps 5, 6 and 7. You are quite slow

She? Bros, why you dey talk like this. Even if Na man, he won't get to choose it himself not to talk she is a woman. She will choose a deputy in a. Wike's orchestrated impeachment? Like Benin people would say, 'oma work'
Ok, maybe I didn't communicate it well. I meant the deputy must not be the speaker. The party stakeholders can choose who would become the deputy

What you listed there, is just pure consumption economics. I know you guys prefer that, to productivity. Good luck with that.
Naaa don't get me wrong..

I only listed those ones to show that he's doing something in addition to capital projects..

Fubara has done and is doing many capital projects in roads, schools, health.

Yes he might not be a flyover freak, but he's doing lots of projects...

For a governor who is only two years in office, he's been very very good.

Lol. Suddenly Sim is autocratic when we all know that Wike did far worse. Suddenly everyone loves democracy because Wike was able to muscle the judiciary to give him a judgement that can only be made in heaven. I hope when things go against Wike you guys will still love democracy.
RevDesm0ndJuju:
Wrong .

Fubara is the one who thought himself as emperor in a democratic system

I don't know why you guys are even supporting such executive rascality that has been the norm since 1999.

This is the first time since Obi was chased out by the Anambra state assembly that the legislative branch is doing their constitutional job

If anything , this Fubara debacle will strengthen democracy as it will put the governors in check going forward.

FYI, democracy does not end at the ballot. The real deal begins when an elected official assumes office and the process of dialogue and negotiations begins

At no time has the type of democracy we practice meant to be a one man executive show .

Fubara is learning this the very hard way.

Just because you were elected doesn't mean you are an absolute monarch who can run a state anyhow you deem fit. There must be consultations , dialogue and negotiations to meet an agreeable consensus on how a state should be run and managed.

The real anti democratic and lawless ones are the ones who urged Fubara to disregard the constitution and disobey the judiciary .

Now see where it has gotten Fubara .

Though it is just a hypothetical question, what our Constitution says, is that the Deputy Governor takes Over, if the Governor is impeached.... and then selects his/her own Deputy.

But going by the level of lawlessness in this regime, l wont be surprised if they procure another Judgement that says Amauewule or what is his name, should be "Upgraded" to be Governor..... and T-pain will come out to advise us to "Obey the Supreme Court".

No level of malfeasance is impossible, under this fraudulent AP-Cheat Government.

All this your long note you fail to address where the real problem started when wike was choosing commissioners for a seating governor where were you, why didn't you address the fact that wike bought all the seat in the state house of assembly for a seating governor. You also fail to talk about how he made virtually all the appointments for a seating governor. Maybe you weren't aware so I won't fault you. If his impeachment will bring peace to the state then let him go down let the distroyer of democracy gubilate. Recently wike came out to say I made him governor. Like if Nigeria is a sane country won't he have been answering questions for that statement alone

Olodo ,the Rivers Chief judge role is limited to selecting from among the House members those who will head the impeachment panel.

FYI, the chief judge is not a direct appointtee of the governor but rather one who whose name was sent by the NJC headed by the CJN and recommended for appointment.

The Chief Judge is not the same as the State Attorney+General.
Adamurudeen, you simply confirmed that the CJ must be part of the plot. The current CJ is Fubara's man.

That's a hurdle you buffoons will have to cross if you must impeach Fubara.

BTW, is Atiku your gaymaster aware that your hate for Omo Ibos have dragged you to Wike's camp.

Maybe, I should send his camp the message that one of them has gone AWOL on NL? grin

Fubara's impeachment was evident to all since the day he decided to demolish the Rivers state assembly complex and have the 27 man faction forcibly removed from their sits .

If you were part of that 27 man faction will you let Fubara's madness slide ?

I am even surprised that Fubara's crase even has limits . I thought he will disobey and disregard the Supreme Court ruling and run the state under Executive Orders as he has been doing ever since he chased duly elected representatives of the Rivers people from holding plenary in the now demolished state assembly complex .

What level of madness was Fubara operating on that he thought it was wise to commit such executive rascality ?

If Tinubu did the same and had the MASS demolished to the ground and had a a handful of Federal senators and representatives doing his bidding while preventing the remaining from sitting , how would you react to such madness ?

Fubara is a fool who thought as civilian elected governor he was akin to an emperor .

If he has any sense left he should shed himself of all the idiots who have been giving him terrible legal advice alongside the retinue of sychophants that were urging him on.

If he escapes impeachment , he must be made to undergo a training course on what the limits of his office as governor are as dictated by the constitution he swore to uphold.
Well said. You are a true patriot unlike others who doesn't know the rudiments of governing. I salute your knowledge and forthrightness in dealing on this matter.

If Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State were to be impeached, the next in line to assume the position of governor would typically be the Deputy Governor. In Nigeria, the Deputy Governor usually takes over the role of the governor if the latter is unable to perform their duties due to various reasons, including impeachment.
However, specific political dynamics, party control, and legal considerations might influence the succession process. Here's a general outline of the potential scenarios that could unfold:

Deputy Governor Assumes Office: The Deputy Governor would be sworn in as the new Governor of Rivers State.

Political Implications: The political landscape could shift depending on the Deputy Governor's political alignment and relationship with existing political factions and parties.

Potential for Other Candidates: If there are strong political figures within the state who might challenge the Deputy Governor for influence or leadership, this could lead to political maneuvering and possibly a new election if the situation permits.

Legal Challenges: The impeachment process itself could be subject to legal scrutiny, and there may be challenges that could delay or affect the transition of power.

Reactions from Stakeholders: Various stakeholders, including political parties, civil society groups, and the electorate, may react differently based on their interests and how the impeachment process was conducted.
For the most accurate and current information, it's essential to follow reputable news sources regarding any developments in Rivers State's political situation.
