FG Knows Nothing About Our Internal Crisis – NNPP Slams El-rufai by zero8zero(op): 3:42pm On Mar 13, 2025*

The leadership of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has clarified that the federal government knows nothing about the internal crisis rocking the party and the expulsion of the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as well as the suspension of Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State.

National Secretary of the party, Oginni Sunday, who disclosed this in a statement he made available to Vanguard in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, described

“the ranting of the former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, on the crisis rocking the party as a cry of a drowning man”, describing the el-Rufai’s allegation as unfounded.

It would be recalled that el-Rufai, who defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), said the crises in LP, PDP and NNPP were engineered by the APC-led government of the day.

Oginni said, “the ranting of the former Governor of Kaduna State Nasir el-Rufai on the expulsion of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the suspension of Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State from NNPP as a cry of a drowning man”.

He added, “it is unfortunate that el-Rufai, who has just decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Social Democratic Party (SDP) was seeing making an unfounded allegations against the leadership of NNPP, alleging sponsorship of the expulsion of Kwankwaso and the suspension of Governor Yusuf by the federal government”.

Questions to Elrufai

Oginni, in the statement, asked El-Rufai if it was the federal government that asked Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to go to Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam in February 2022, to prostrate and beg for NNPP’s platform in company of Buba Galadima, Senator Hunkuyi and others to contest for as the presidential candidate in 2023.

He alleged that “Kwankwaso, during the buildup to the 2023 general elections, relocated the situation room of NNPP to his bedroom in Maitama, where lots of atrocities were committed while uploading candidates’ names to INEC portal for the general election”.

“Was it the federal government that asked Kwankwaso and his now expelled members of National Working Committee to embezzle all the money received from the sales of nomination forms and donations for the party for 2023 Election?”

“Was it the federal government that instituted a petition to EFCC on the allegations of fraud of over N2.5 billion against Kwankwaso and his puppet NWC?”

Oginni said that both Kwankwaso and Gov. Yusuf stopped from appearing before the disciplinary committee set up by the party for internal resolution of crisis within the party.

“Was it the federal government that asked Kwankwaso to embark on an illegal convention that culminated to the illegal change of NNPP logo to that of the private school of Kwankwaso and the color to his illegal Kwankwasia group?”

“Was it the federal government that orchestrated the sack of the Kano State SSG, CoS and Commissioner for saying “No to highjackers”.

“Was it the federal government that asked Kwankwaso and his defunct NWC to sue the founder of New Nigeria People’s Party ( NNPP), Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, the National Chairman, Dr Agbo Gilbert Major, the National Secretary, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday, the National Treasurer, Prince Omokanye Adetoyese and 22 other executives with INEC at the Federal Capital Territory Court on the Convention of the party?”, Oginni queried.

Oginni said the NNPP was giving El-Rufai a 48-hour ultimatum to tender a public apology for the reckless and unfounded statement or face prosecution for defamation against the leadership of the party.

El midget in trouble. These silly oppositions attributing their failures to the FG, ignoring the root causes of their internal crisis. Even the mushroom Labour Party is blaming the FG whereas we know what happened between Abure vs Obi where Obi and his circus tried pushing Abure out of office before Abure fought back through the court but those losers were saying FG was the instigator, very laughable.

Back to the butcher of Kaduna, he came out to say Buhari gave him a go ahead to decamp to SDP and that he always submitted the lists of his commissioners to Buhari, according to him Buhari is his political mentor. And it got me wondering, this man forgot he had attacked Buhari several times in the past, how can someone be your political mentor and you openly whitewashed and insulted the living daylight out of him being in opposite party. Elrufai is a snake and a shameless liar.

El-rufai is doing what Tinubu asked him to do.....

Without a coalition, Tinubu might find it difficult to win....

But coalition divides the votes and division of votes makes it easy for anyone with a slight higher votes to win.....

But regardless, my support is for Tinubu...... He's taking bold steps to fix things the North refused to fix because it favoured them the most ....

Just waiting for another policy from the presidency that will have the North trembling and seeking to divide the country again like the VAT sharing formula ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Anybody suggesting that Hellrufire is a double agent by going SDP must be brainless and doesn't really know Hellrufire.

If the midget doesn't succeed in purging SDP of all Thiefnibu agents, he will sink the party. His primary objective now is returning his son to House of Rep with SDP, they must've guaranteed him the ticket for him to join.

There is no smoke without fire but I have a question for those who call the President a friend of democracy. What kind of democrat is afraid of opposition huh

I see the supporters say that he is a master of the game, he is this and he is that but isn't it a weak man who is afraid of opposition to test his popularity? At least Trump won, lost and won again. This one looks like a minority mandate. I would be happy to see at least 50% of registered voters voting instead of getting 8 million votes only. 1/4 of total registered voters voted in the 2023 elections and we don't see a problem with that. If e sure you die, wetin concern you with opposition? It means you want to be popular where there is voter apathy. Buhari won in 2015 the combination of the result of Tinubu and Atiku in the last election. That mandate get k leg undecided

Do you know the founder of NNPP is Igbo? and this group is the real NNPP, look at their names in the article. Kwankwaso came to the party and they gave him the ticket for 2023 presidential election but hijacked the party with his kwankwasiyya movement. He was then suspended and later sacked from the party for gross misconduct and high handedness. Kwankwaso later formed a faction of NNPP with a different logo. If you followed NNPP in Kano, it is factionalized. Ignorant people like you do not follow politics but come online to display buffoonery.
