The legislators are confused. If budget is not presented, the state government cannot pay them. As it now, they DO NOT HAVE any reason to procure an impeachment. The governor should write to them again and publish it on the media that he wants to present the budget. If they keep avoiding it, then the RVSG should get a court order mandating them to receive the budget. It is a constitutional requirement.

Fubara bulldozed the state assembly, you supported him.
He withheld HOA members salaries, you hailed him.
He presented budget to four members of HOA, you praised him.

If the House had any good will, they would have said, okay Mr. Governor, we need you to represent this budget according to the judgment; let us know if 48 hours is appropriate by your schedule, knowing that Mr. Governor has tight schedules. But they gave him an ultimatum as if budget is the only pressing thing for the state. Look, what those poor reched house assembly members dont know is that Wike has lived the best of his political career and has nothing to lose. During the primaries,how many Aspirants bought the form in PDP and how many of them did the then sitting governor (Wike) allow to participate in the primaries freely?
The governor exercised overbearing influence and pursue all other Aspirants into bushes leaving only Fubara as the only governor's choice.Mind you, GOVERNOR'S CHOICE and not the PEOPLE'S CHOICE (That's the genesis of the problem)
I can remember vividly how one of the Aspirants,I think a serving member of the House of Representative then,was declared wanted by Wike the governor (as if he was a law court or police chief to have declared somebody wanted) for attempting to contest the primaries with Fubara.He was finally arrested and detained when he mustered courage to appear at the venue.
You people that are crying for pity for Fubara now clapped hands and applauded Wike for his political dexterity.
He further removed state money for campaign,consultation and for buying of wrapper,salt,rice to share as inducement to people to vote for Fubara during the general election proper while candidates of other parties used their private money for the election which couldn't match the government money used for Fubara which give him advantage over others.None of you saw anything wrong with that as at then.
From the beginning of his emergence until swearing in as a governor,it was always Wike,Wike,Wike, and Wike in the picture.
Where were the "people" in the picture?
And the most painful things was/is that the same people who were supposed to condemned such undemocractic practices were the same people clapping and praising Wike for doing what Amaechi could not do.And what was that, installing the governor singlehandedly.
And even he himself, Fubara was very happy and pleased with his master for being a masterclass in politics while other candidates and Aspirants were mocked to "Go to Court".
And today you people that did not see anything wrong with the ignoble roles he played in forcing him on the people are now shouting that it's unconstitutional for Wike to ask him to be answerable to him.That he should only be answerable to the "people".

Did you ask him to be answerable to the PEOPLE all through the processes that brought him to power?

House of assembly quarters was built with Rivers money and it is not a permanent residence for house members. In addition,it is not a private property so to say.
