A high-speed auto crash involving a commercial bus has claimed multiple lives along the Abuja-Makurdi Highway.

The commercial bus belongs to Flight Transport Company.

The accident occurred on Thursday, leaving several dead and many others injured.

DAILY POST sighted a video of the incident showing the lifeless bodies of some passengers sprawled across the road as bystanders wailed in distress.

Many of the victims, including men and women, lay motionless on the road.

A witness in the video could be heard lamenting about the reckless speed of the bus driver before the tragic accident occurred.

“When this driver overtook us, I was complaining about his speed. This Flight Bus, I was complaining. Just look at it. I was complaining about the speed of this very driver,” the narrator in the video said.

The crash has sparked fresh outrage among road users and concerned citizens, with many taking to social media to condemn the continuous recklessness of some bus drivers.

I tend to wonder who really is the problem. Of course this isn't Tinubu problem but us.

Traveling by road in Nigeria has become 5 times more dangerous and perilous.

If you escape accidents, kidnappers and bandits will be somewhere waiting for you.

Speed kills, some driver's will never hear.
Many of this accident are avoidable, but due to reckless driving and over speeding, some of these useless driver's will cut short people's lives.

Drivers were speeding unnecessarily on a newly constructed highway, lives lost and this is what someone is writing.

Reminds me of how my daddy used to caution his driver when travelling.. 'jiri nwayo ka anyi laruo ngwa ngwa' take it slowly so we can get to our destination on time.. As kids we never understood what he meant .. Even the mildest of accident will keep u at the spot for at least half an hour...

When people say bad roads are the reasons for accidents, I never agree with them. Drivers seem to speed more and drive carelessly when the road is smooth. They are more careful and drive slower when the road is bad. Humans are very stubborn and impatient.

Whenever you're in a commercial vehicle, don't leave everything in the hands of the driver. Caution him when necessary. Some of them think they got 9-lives by the way they drive recklessly.
