Let us tell ourselves the truth.

The entire EU nation can defeat Russia without the US in one week.

Russia is not as formidable as we earlier thought.

Sometimes u don't know the kind of power u have until u are faced with using and abiding by your power alone.
They can't thats why they rely on NATO.
America did not force EU to join Nato.

EU is weak without the US... that's a fact.
No country in EU can't challenge Russia....

At this point only a military coup can save that country from the monster called Trump.

If left to rule for the next 4 years, America will be poorer than India, because that man is there to destroy that country.
Honestly. I still can't believe Trump is doing all this.

It's not even up to 2 months of him in office.

First off, countries like China are practically tripping over themselves to get American tech. They’re sneaking around U.S. rules to grab chips from companies like Intel and Qualcomm. Stuff that powers phones, computers, and even military gear. China’s own chip-making isn’t good enough yet, so they’re stuck relying on U.S. designs, even with tariffs making it pricier. Russia’s in the same boat. They’re begging China for U.S.-made parts to keep their weapons and drones running since sanctions cut them off. Ukraine? They’re using American tech like Starlink satellites from SpaceX to fight back. Nobody else has anything close.
Even rich countries can’t get enough U.S. stuff. Japan and Germany snatch up software from Microsoft and hardware from Apple because it’s top-notch. Tesla’s cars are another big one China ( Tesla Shanghai) Europe and Asia are buying them like crazy. The U.S. doesn’t just make one thing; it’s phones, cars, satellites, and more. Tariffs might bump up costs, but people still pay because American quality and ideas are hard to beat.

The U.S. isn’t losing its edge either. Sure, other countries make cool stuff, but America’s got a knack for inventing game-changers. Think about it: the internet, smartphones, GPS. They all started in the US. Companies like Google and Amazon keep pushing new ideas, and the world keeps lining up to use them. U.S. universities and labs are packed with smart people dreaming up tomorrow’s tech, from AI to space travel. Tariffs won’t stop that; they just make others pay more while the U.S. keeps creating.

So, saying nobody wants U.S. products or that US doesn't lead anymore is off-base. From China sneaking chips to Europe driving Teslas, the demand is real. The U.S. isn’t some old ‘80s relic. It’s still the tech king because it invents, builds, and sells what the world can’t live without. That’s not changing anytime soon.
Bro, the change is upon us... For the first time, Tesla is selling so poorly that even Volkswagen sold more units in Europe than they did.

Forget China, BYD has taken it... Japan; Toyota... only places like Singapore and even there saw stiff competition like never before....

So. Bro, the shift is here!

And then European nations retaliate with their own 250% tariffs on U.S. goods. Who bears the brunt of this trade war? Certainly not the politicians making these decisions, but the everyday citizens who rely on these goods and services.

Trump, in his usual fashion, seems to believe that the United States is immune to consequences—as if the global economy operates in a vacuum. He envisions a world where America dictates terms without repercussions, forgetting that international trade is a two-way street. What goes around always comes around. If the U.S. slaps excessive tariffs on other nations, those nations will respond in kind, and in the end, it's the consumers and businesses that suffer from rising prices and economic instability.

But beyond Trump’s flawed approach, this escalating tariff war should serve as a wake-up call for all nations. Too many countries have built their economies on dependencies, relying on imports for essential goods rather than investing in self-sufficiency. This kind of over-reliance has made them vulnerable to the whims of global politics. Instead of constantly playing defense in trade wars, nations should focus on strengthening their industries, producing what they need, and reducing their dependence on any single country.

The world needs balanced trade, not economic brinkmanship driven by ego. If leaders continue to treat international trade like a game of dominance, the people will continue to pay the price.

Trump said the tariffs are temporary pain but I don't think so. The only reason why Tesla can sell is because America bans BYD. The only reason Apple can go up is because Huawei was banned. The only reason Facebook has freehand and they try to damage the reputation of TikTok is because one is from America and another is from China. The only reason Lenovo is popular is what you and I know. There are other factors but every country likes trade protection so that they don't become like Ukraine where America will tell you to say thank you.

China has competitive advantage because of their population and government policy. India took advantage of the IT industry and Nigeria can do the same thing if we have focused leadership. This is the only place I agree with Bill Gates who said Nigeria's greatest asset is its people. Give them work to do, japa will be japada. If other governments sustained what Obasanjo opened up, by now Nigeria will be a popular WFH destination but our financial system is compromised and we have weak regulations and the wrong people in government. Whenever they tout foreign investors, it is a mockery of our capacity. If you protect your people, they will gain from trade agreements.

Cost of food production is cheap in Nigeria but many things cannot allow us to feed ourselves and export crops for FX. All our leaders know is to buy houses and sell us to foreign exploiters.
Bro, the intentional frustration of exporting activities by our government is one thing I'll never understand.

Stealing of intellectual property is part of the game.

USA cannot foist its position that others MUST buy her products.

Her products do NOT remain monopoly and a must-have.

If USA blinks, other countries would push it out of the way in terms of Exports to other nations.

Nobody MUST procure USA goods.

Well, Musk's act of foolishness or otherwise in america has no direct relation to his customers in Asia...

Theyre simply going for a better product.

Where I do agree that his actions or inactions in the white house has affected his business is that, he isn't giving his time to the company anymore and it's evident in operations and lack of new products.

the U.S. plans to win not through static dominance but through agile reinvention. History bears this out: in the 1980s— Japan was as strong as today's China economically — there were concerns over the rising US trade deficit with Japan, particularly in areas like automobiles and semiconductors, US prudently dealt with them with trade restrictions and negotiations. U.S. tariffs and quotas slashed Japan’s market share reasserting AMERICAN PRIMACY.

Bro, NO SHIFT. JUST THE U.S. BENDING THE ARC OF TRADE, AS EVER.

All these trade wars with EU, Canada etc will keep XAU/USD high, affect their stock prices negatively BUT will just help Naira to seem stable/ smiling and make it look like Cardio B is working overtime. Someone who can't keep inflation to the minimum including critical food sector?

When you talk, defenders will run to fuel price that it's cheaper than 1 dollar( lol), if exchange rate had remained at N700+ won't the present fuel price be higher? Now, even at this rate, compared to Cameroon that may have increased theirs to same price with ours( but in Francs ie 850frs) which should appear more costly( $1= 650+ Francs) if using Naira but, transport cost especially at interstate level is still CHEAPER than ours. No hyperinflation. Costs of goods and services 5 yrs back still the same and if any increase, just a little. If we can't make exchange to go back to pre-2015's era, st least let it be pegged to CFA/ Francs.

By now in Nigeria, all extortionists in our roads whether in uniforms or not shouldn't be allowed in order to help with inflation of things which are now passed to the common citizens, making Nigeria more expensive to live in.
