The reason is that, CBN helped MTN and other strategic companies in Nigeria to strengthen the naira creating a temporary surplus through dollar injection into the FX market.

So, through this, MTN is able to pay off some of it's FX denominated liabilities at a reduced price.

The current Nigerian government doesn't possess the financial firepower to sustain naira appreciation especially not with oil trending down. Countries like Japan and Switzerland are notorious for intervention but failed woefully multiple times.

A dollar will never go to 400 bruh, people have invested a lot with dollars, so if the dollar falls to 400 people will lost so much money so please let the dollar be, dollar selling for 400 wont make a bag of cement 1000 naira, is not going to change anything, no let anybody deceive you

They should borrow more money to stabilise dollar so it will stop falling.... Foreign reserves from 400b USD to 259b USD in less than 4 years and people still have confidence in this ppl
