Governor Charles Soludo has asserted that his administration's resolve to clamp down on those purveying evils in the state.

“All the dangerous native doctors are on the run. Because light and darkness cannot be in the same place. Evil must give way”, Governor Soludo said.

However, traditional doctors in Anambra State have pledged their commitment to working with the state government to ensure the success of the ongoing sanitisation of traditional medicine practices in the state.

Innocent Okwundu, the chairperson of a group of traditional doctors, made the pledge during a meeting with the leadership of the Anambra House of Assembly in Awka on Thursday.

Mr Okwundu, who led about 500 members of the group to the assembly, said the recently enacted Anambra Homeland Security Law and the Agunechemba Security Outfit were positive developments in the fight against crime.

He said native doctors in the state were ready to collaborate with the legislature to smooth rough edges and tighten loose ends so that the practice could be properly regulated.

“We must avoid intimidation and rip-off of our members, especially in the rural communities. We will contribute towards ensuring that the law guarantees us independence and smooth operations.

“We will assist in identifying those who have bastardised the traditional medicine in Anambra and expose those aiding or involved in the ‘Okeite’ or money ritual saga,” Mr Okwundu said.

Responding, Somtochukwu Udeze, the speaker of the assembly, said Governor Charles Soludo’s administration’s Homeland Security Law meant well for the people.

Mr Udeze, who was represented by Ikenna Ofodeme, said a bill was underway to address some of the areas the traditional doctors were worried about.

He said the law would bring about synergy and cooperation between the government and the native doctors, adding that registration of practitioners by the state government was free.

Soludo should do well enough to clamp down catholic priests, the pentecostal and protestant pastors; Muslim Imams shouldn't be excluded because, they're all native doctors in disguise.

It is not their fault,it is the gullible ones who don’t look the clothes of someone that wants to clothe them.

Native doctoring isn’t bad, so far they don't engage in human part selling which they disguised as rituals for money. Of course wise people know that juju doesn't exist, so the only thing expected of a native doctor to do as a routine is to know how to use herbs and wise talks to heal people of some sicknesses and diseases and to come out plain to people about the ineffectiveness of juju rather than disguising as one powerful, untouchable juju man that can turn a lion into a domestic cat in the twinkling of an eye.
With that done, people won't be scared of native doctors anymore and they will patronize them for whom they are.
COVID has already exposed pastors and now people can touch anointings anyhow without repercussion, having known them for whom they were. They didn't know him for whom he really was, because of the numerous false testimonies and powers he has enmeshed himself with on the internet.

Let people know you for whom you are. Don't disguise as an eagle when you are only but a chick.

Most Anambrarians in prison outside the country for drug related offences, are victims of these fake pastors and native doctors.

They will tell these kids to walk like a lion through the airport checks and that nothing will happen. Some will be lucky as the airport security might not detect them that day, so they come home to pay homage,..the reason for the opulent lifestyles of the native doctors..

Others will ofcourse be caught and the native doctor will blame them for not obeying all the rules of the charm...
