I don’t support godfatherism, but if Fubara was truly against it, why align with a godfather in the first place only to turn around and play games later? That’s nothing short of betrayal. You accepted the terms and conditions before.. so why make a U-turn and then cry foul?

Did he really think Wike would just sit back and applaud him? No, this is a battle he now has to fight, and it won’t be an easy one. Just ask Ambode and others who have been in similar situations.

The frustration has already begun, and 2027 is still far away.

Any 'agreement' that is at the expense of the interest of the people and the development of the state is not worth fulfilling. A godfather whose interest is at the detriment of the interest of the people deserves to be betrayed.

If they didn't complain about Gov. Fubara withholding their entitlements then and they didn't write him to bother about it since he Fubara did not recognize them, then they have no ready to bother now....



From what I see the window they gave the governor to re-present the budget has elapsed and the governor did not make good use of it in the right way.

The governor wanted to have his way with them and not them have their way with him...



This is a subtle power play, they are doing and the governor is actually falling for their bait.
Gov. Fubara will only gather public sympathy and emotional sentiments but these fellows will have their way till a higher authority tells them to call it off completely.
They want to see how far the governor will go to show pride , ego, power play.....


The Ukrainian President just comes to mind.

.. when they told fubara to represent the budget..fubara told them he has not yet receive the certified true copy of the supreme court judgement yet and read it and study it to be sure of what the supreme court judgement said but not to rely on social media news supreme court judgement...then when he receive the certified true copy of the supreme court judgement and go through it...then he will comply with the supreme court judgement and represent the budget to the law makers.....but since he got the certified true copy of the supreme court judgement and want to represent the budget the law makers do not want to co.operate with him

Talking about being grateful, do you know Wike chose the speaker, and appointed a lot of Fubara's cabinet members, before they all chose to resign as instructed by the emperor. Fubara yielded so much to Wike. The problem started with wanting to dictate to Fubara how funds of the state will be spent. WHile Wike wanted funds of the state to be used to consolidate his political empire, Fubara realized that he will the one that will answer for misappropriation, if na u weytin u go do. Fubara was begging for a long time before the man was left with no option. The wike commissioners started abusing him, imagine u are governor and the people working for u as commissioners are just working against ur instructions, yet fubara did not sack them. They resigned, and when president mediated, they decided to cpome back-is that not weak enough on the part of the governor, Can anybody do that to Wike.
Fubara has never said WIke did not help him become governor, he always maintained that God used him but he will not hand Rivers money to be misappropriated by someone else when the person will not be the one to answer for it. Okowa made appointments, YES are those appointees not working in line with the program of the governor they are working for? To make appointments is not the issue.
