Kperogi is very much on point here.

While it is good to have someone like Hell ruffian in the opposition, anyone with half a brain should realise he's doing it for himself and not any serious conflict of principles. He's more shocked at the treatment he received than at the state of affairs of the APC or the country.

But to be fair to him, he has made no pretension that he's more concerned about some ideals than his personal discomfort.

But is there any reason to be fair to him when he has never been fair to anyone? Least of all the southern Kaduna Christians whose genocide resonates even within the walls of the US Congress 3000 miles away?

El Rufai newly found opposition is a great blessing in disguise to Tinubu. As the US Congress and President are about to sanction Nigeria for persecution and killing of Christians, what other gift could the administration give the opposition than a religious bigot and butcher of Christians in Kaduna and you expect the US Government to fold its arm and support such person in opposition? Someone recently advised obi to shelve his ambition for now rather than try to eat with the devil with a long spoon. With the CIA asset presently power, El Rufai's past record are not encouraging. I'm sure some people think a coalition is a coalition even if it involves the devil himself but a coalition involving El Rufai is dead on arrival. This is not about speculation wether he would be a religious bigot when he gets to power no. It has been confirmed already. No wonder the Government is not trying to court him. He was snubbed, rejected and ignored. I felt he deserved a better treatment though but innocent blood have their way of crying against their killers.
