Why the fixation with natasha? A simple issue that would've been resolved discreetly in-house by the Senate has now snowballed into an embarrassment for them. I told people that the Parliament is a more intellectual arm of government than the Executive. Likewise the Judiciary. And this is true in all climes.

Imagine a Trump as a Senator . I once told folks then than Dora Akunyili will perform better as a Senator than as a Governor when she contested against Ngige then. But that Ngige will make a better Governor than as a Senator. I was right. Ngige performed woefully as a Senator.

For you to be a successful parliamentarian you must have mastery of the rules either negatively or positively. Or at least have flair for rules and regulations. Natasha has none of such qualities. Very weak in rules generally. With due respect she doesn't have the intelligence, comportment or stability to perform as a Senator. We have a number of such characters in our NASS.

In my country we view the Parliament as a holding ground especially for those we couldn't become Governor or those that just finished as Governors.

The Parliament should have more intellectually suave and solid personalities than even the Executive. Not these "Agbero-like" characters. Some politicians are cut out for the Parliament, some for the Executive though some might have both qualities.

The most important thing is that a leader should be ready to learn, listen more and THINK before acting. Reduce impulsiveness or reactionary behavior. Be abreast with the rules governing wherever you find yourself

Apkabio said on the record, she is no longer a senator if she is on suspension. So did she attend the IPU as a private citizen. Or was Apkabio ignorant of what it means to be a suspended senator ?
