Are Nigerians Dull Or We Just Want To Form Woke By Pretending We Are Dull? by Factcheck0001(op):
Top of the hour anywhere you are reading this from.

Today I saw a video of a corp member who complained about the present economic situation of Nigeria which is understandable. It is clear to all that Nigeria is going through a reform and with time the reforms will yield results.

That's not where we are going though, another video also pop out as regards the said video with a lady( probably a corper) talking about accomodation of 1.2 million naira and I see many people defending her.

Like ask yourself, how can someone earning let's even say 200k per month think of 1 million naira accomodation? Let alone a corper earning less than 50k.

To those defending her, does it make sense to you or you just want to act rich and throw away common sense?

Like where is the "cut your coat according to your size" common sense line?

If your siblings serving should tell you he/she is getting an accomodation of 1 million with a salary of 100k, won't u speak sense into him or her?

I thought we have seen multiple threads here talking about salary to house rent ratio and majority of the people agree 2 months salary should pay for rent, so how come we have people supporting someone earning 50k n staying in an accomodation of 1.2 million.

It's not even advisable for someone earning 300k per month to go for over a million accommodation but these people see it as normal for someone earning less than 50k to rent house of over a million and they are blaming the government

Must we always blame the government even when common sense can solve it?

So, a corper doesn't deserve to live in a 1.2m naira house or what?

If you give APC miscreants chance, they will put all of una inside prison and be feeding you grains.

This is the same country where the son of the president who is totally jobless is sharing scholarships and throwing money around.

Same country where the NYSC serving son of the last president crashed on a 65 million naira powerbike.

I don't blame you, I blame the hungry illiterate fvuLs who kill each other to rig elections for their slave drivers.

oga if your friend is earning 50k n he rents an house of 1.2 million

And when it's time to pay rent, he tells u to borrow him money, how will u feel?

Remove APC n let's talk about common sense n basic economic of life now

Does it make sense for a person earning 100k per month to stay in a house of 1.2 million?

What you should be asking yourself is why someone is working at all and still cannot afford to pay house rent for the type of houses they rent for 1.2m these days. Probably a room self contained apartment.

Do you take Nigerians to be slaves? Your government is taking people's suffering as a right to keep punishing the masses.

Even if Peter obi is the president n he makes one naira equal to one dollar

So, what do you suggest, that all the people earning less than #100k should look for such houses where they can pay from their pay comfortably?

Okay, each corper should now look for accommodation in houses where there are no doors and windows, no gate and without plastering or electricity, that's what they can afford and that's where each corper deserves to live.

Hope you're happy now?

You're clearly not a serious person to have even created this topic. Price of rice went from N8k to like N70k because of inflation. So what do you think inflation did to other sectors? And how many people have had their salaries increased to match the present cost of living. See, you're free to cut your coat or whatever it is you're wearing and move back to your village to become a palmwine tapper, but don't come here and try to be a smart ass trivializing serious issues that real people are facing

So in your own world , it's reasonable for someone earning 100k to get accommodation of 1.2m?

1. Nigeria is not going through any reform. That's just the lie of the devilish govt to cover up their cluelessness and incompetence

2. House rent has gone up in the past year with some going over 100%. A house that used to be 500k in Gbagada area now goes for 1m

3. If we're going to be preaching cutting your coat to corpers in places like Lagos, them they'll most certainly be living in places like Ajegunle, Safejo, Bariga face me I slap you where 30 rooms share a single toilet

4. Most Corp members who don't have relatives to stay with in Lagos have historically have to pay through their noses for rent. This is because most PPAs in Lagos will not take you if you can't sort out your rent by yourself

5. So Op. Instead of preaching nonsense, talk to your ogas to bring down the cost of living. Even most civil servants are choking not to now mention a corper on 33k!!

Does it make sense for rent to jump 100% in Lagos

now that u are sincere and you agree it doesn't make sense

That person should spend what he/she could afford on rent so she won't be complaining

The reality of life is that not everyone can afford luxury, even in America not everyone uses luxury

So the person should live within his or her means to avoid unnecessary complains

any amount that is convenient for her n won't make her come to rant on social media

Do u expect me to call a figure when there are many options when it comes to accomodation?

U can get a room mate and share the rent, u can always look for accomodation within your budget, at least the person earning 100k should b wise enough to know how much she can conveniently keep every month for house rent that won't affect her

This is not even about corp members but general common sense

But she didn't complain to you that she can't pay the rent

Cause it seems your grouse is her complaint on social media not that you care whether she can afford the rent or not

You started out asking if 1.2m is not too much for 100k income

Now you are no more concerned about what's too much or not too much. Instead you're concerned about her rants

Has she come to your gate that she has been evicted by her landlord?

yes
I am concerned about her rants cos u yourself said it that it doesn't make sense to pay 1.2 million when your salary is 100k.

One thing I hate about Nigerians is that they know d difference between normal n luxury, someone who can afford normal will go extra mile to get luxury n will start complaining it's expensive.

Guy nobody force u go there, last month I went to fix something's for people at lekki phase 1 n we were to use 5 days.

The eatery close by sells a plate of rice for eight thousand five hundred naira, I know its beyond my budget so me n d small boy I took there to help me had to drive to a place we can afford what they sell conveniently

It will b stupidity on my part to buy food of 8k5 per plate n start complaining when I can get food at 2k in other places

Oga there are standard to life, once u accept it n know your standard your life go smooth. The time people have problem is when they start going for things beyond their standard

If u feel u want luxury, buy it n don't come online to complain. If u know u will complain after buying it then lock up
