Sign agreements you can keep. Keep to the agreements that you have signed. Fubara knew what he signed up for with Wike. And I am pretty sure those agreements were not sealed by mere words.

Looking at the way Wike has prevailed so far, you will be naive not to conclude that whatever they signed had unseen forces involved. Agreements are binding. Even GOD will stay out of it when it's time for you to fulfil your part of it. sad
Na so ur ur grandpapa sign u into slavery...for one plate of portage yam with vegetables na matter wey make ur life b like dis....
Note neighter fubara nor wike is a good person
Both supposed to languish for kuje maximum or kirikiri ....with their cronies and maybe u self if to say u talk am as e b for here ,I mean bro u talk dis agreement thing for d eyes of d law were things work we see u ...u self go collect small for kirikiri minimum. .until u get sense

Dem no dey use Govt resources, infrastructure and administration do personal transactions for reward of political patronage...na me and u go suffer last Last,na criminal agreement u dey endorse...
NA GOD CAUSE THEIR FIGHT,if not sum go dey give money wey Dem suppose use do better to wike

Fubara knows what is happening to him. If he had listened to the advice by Fayose and Tinubu, he wouldn't be here today.
Fayose said it clearly to him to never listen to bad advisers who will come to advise him against Wike. Today, see his life.
Life of no peace.
B4 he was MADE the governor and the process he was crowned the winner through manipulative processes by Wike, he knew what will befall on him if he goes against the system that made him.
But he chose to without firstly prepared himself.

There's no need looking for any other excuses to impeach Mr governor, according to supreme court judgements he has committed enough offences worth of impeachment but then Wike and his boys should soft pedals, they must be magnanimous in victory and also consider the greater people of Rivers state, whom they said they represented and are going to suffer for time and money that will be dispense while the process of impeachment is going on.

Already there is no budget for 2025 yet and allocations to the state has been blocked.

He's fighting for the development of Rivers state. He's fighting for the betterment of the common man to have an advantage at life instead of satisfying the greed of few politicians who zombifies people like you to defend their kleptocracy and insatiable greed.

Nigeria is where it is because of nit wits like you. One man said to make you governor you must promise to divert billions of naira of public funds that could be used to better the lives of the people into my account for eight years and now that the governor refused to live by the terms of the agreement, poor nigerians living on less than a dollar a day say the agreement should be kept. The problem of Nigeria is not the leaders, it is your ilk
If you know you are uncomfortable with such, why agree in the first place, you can't decide when to choose a righteous part.

It's not by force, you don't have to be governor, besides how are you so sure the agreement was about payment rather than a mutually beneficial settlement in manpower placement?

Wrong question! The right question is if Wike and other politicians like him are betrayed by the godson's who refuse to deposit in their accounts public money, how is that your business? If a politician stops another from stealing public funds even when they are out of office how is it your cup of tea? Is it the people of Rivers that should pick their governor or Wike? He rigged an election and imposed an unpopular candidate into office and you are here ranting. Go and show Wike the way to the courthouse so he can forward his complain. You people deserve your wicked leaders.

Please keep God out of your silly argument. Even human courts, flawed as they are, will not regard a stupid truce between a power drunk Wike and a perceived stooge to divert billions of naira of public funds into private pockets as a valid agreement that can be entertained in court.
Go and enter into stupid agreements with anyone, then watch how GOD lets you suffer for your foolishness. I am advising you for free, but you think you know something. You are probably still a baby. Someday you will grow up and understand.

First thing you need to understand is, there is nothing like a good politician, they are all the same, some might try to paint a pretty picture, but at the end they are all after there personal interest.

Now, the part that concerns us is the smooth running of the government, we are not paid by them but every policy that results in a fight between them will not affect them, it will only affect us.

The fight they are having for close to 2 years means, no constituency project, nothing has been happening.

Politic is a dirty game, you can pretend you have some contender but at the end of the day, they are all the same, I will prefer a smooth process to whatever is happening in Rivers.

Oga, when a governor's term is done, he should leave. Simple! Peter Odili left, Rotimi Amechi left, why should Wike insist on taking money from Rivers coffers even after leaving office?

I know your type you moniker exposed you as one of dem dem chest eater arrogant political arsonist who believe everything must burn down to show strenght.

Fubara will be send packing right in front of your eyes then I will see what you can do.
You think Fubara does not know the game these people you support with so much energy and emotions are playing? Fubara knows that they are setting traps for him and he is quietly dodging the traps. That is why your friends are going after the CJ. This is a typical APC style that was used on Onoghen. Let's see how it goes.

No one has the monopoly of political power play. It's game on. Now your friends have sent bills they passed to the governor without any public hearing. Abi when laws made or amended, don't they call for public hearing on them before sending it to the governor or executive government as bills?

It is well. Your friends are playing politics of bitterness, playing to the whips and caprices of their pay master just because of resource control and 2027 election.

APC needs Rivers State. Wike to them is the plug. Is it not the same wike that said he can never work with APC. You may say he is not working with APC but with the president. Is the President not APC? Indirectly or directly Wike is doing the bidding of APC and your friends in the house of assembly are the charger.

Fubara and the 27 are playing a political game. Let's see who wins

You keep saying there was an agreement. Do you even know the content of the agreement?
And you are bringing God analysis to this matter. Political agreement can never be like God's agreement.

Even if there was an agreement as you put it, if the agreement does not in anyway agree to move Rivers State to the promise Land, that one na agreement?

Have you forgotten the old adage that says if you want something from ya oga, play the fool until you get it.

If fubara was chosen by his oga, thinking that Fubara would be a political stooge Fubara is not dumb or stupid to see the hand writing on the wall. Fubara would have played along quite well but he saw the game wike was trying to play. He had to checkmate it. Why will wike be the one to control his administration. Who does that?

The impeachment saga is the cause of this whole brouhaha.. starting from November 2023. What did Fubara do then that warranted the house of assembly to want to impeach him? I know you will say he did not fulfill his side of the agreement.. what stupid agreement is that?

Good governance is when the people you are leading or heading are the sole beneficiary of your government and not to some individuals. If you are a people's person, you will always fight to make sure the people's welfare are protected at all cost and that is what Fubara is doing. Why this come they pain some people?

So how does refusing to send money to Wike include working with only 3 of the HOR members, now they have started impeachment proceeding against him and this will likely drag for another 6 months or a year, this is bad for everyone, especially the people of Rivers State.

StudentLeader:
Good morning, well-meaning Nigerians; I am typing this post amidst severe pain and serious hunger.

With the current hardship in our dear country, how will a poor but hardworking person like me survive?

I am confused and in trauma.

I am 30 years old and an O.LEVEL holder. I had a car accident five weeks ago and got bedridden as a result of a broken leg that I suffered in the accident.

The car accident threw me into trauma and hunger, as I am unable to go out to hustle for my daily bread as I used to do before.

As I am typing this, I have yet to eat food since yesterday morning because I am totally broke now. I spent the last #60,000 I have on me on medication. I am in Lagos, but my parents are far back in Kwara State, Ilorin, my hometown. I am thinking of relocating back home to get better treatment, but the issue is I still do not have the transportation fare.

Please, daddies, mummies, and my brothers and sisters on Nairaland forum, please help me; hunger is doing a very deadly work in my body.

I live at No. 26, Araromi Street, Eleko Town, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.

If you live close to me and want to visit me, my phone number is 0913 531 0933 and that's my address. Please help me.

Below are my bank details; please have mercy on me.

Bank: OPay
Account Number: 913 531 0933
Name: Babatunde Sikiru Yisa

May God bless you more and grant you all your heart desires as you help me.

May God turn our situation in Nigeria from its current state to a better state that will bring joy, happiness, and riches to you, me, and all Nigerians. Ameen

Why must you lie and conjure fables just to fleece people of their money? You are not sick and you are an able bodied guy. You can't keep on going on like this. The worst of all is you going to use the money given to you for betting.

Folks beware, that guy is a full-time scammer.

Mod kindly ban this dude account. Those pics have been on this forum as far back as 2018.

And you think Fubara does not know all of these? The impeachment notices and subsequent process may have some hiccups along the line that might stall or elongate the process. It will take 3 to 4 months before the impeachment can be achieved and they need the rivers CJ to do so. Cos a panel will have to be set up Fubara will have the right to defend himself. So my friend the impeachment is not automatic. It's a process. The people that will suffer mostly are rivers people because within these periods of the 27 does not accept the budget form Fubara..them there will be no money to function. There will be no money to even carry out the impeachment process. When the people of rivers decide to arise, crisis don start be that. I pity the oil pipelines. It will not be spared judging from what some militants have been threatening to do. And you know that most of the national treasure comes from rivers State. Rivers political crisis is a time bomb waiting to explode if the 27 do not follow the path of peace. You may sit behind your phone , typing and rejoicing but you do not know the consequences of these whole political brouhaha if they do not embrace peace and move Rivers State forward. Impeaching Fubara might just be costly mistake. Let's watch and see.

The people of rivers State are watching and they know that Fubara wants peace but the 27 wants war..and it's very obvious you have emotional inclination towards the 27 that wants war.

Fubara withholding the salary of the 27 stemmed from the fact that they defected and sworn to an affidavit to that respect. That matter is still in court. Ordinarily, he would not have withheld their salary. Now the 27 using this amongst all other things to instigate the impeachment process is a typical crass political rascality perpetuated by their paymaster and adviser. The rivers resource control is what they are after and not the welfare of the rivers people. Let's watch n see
