But The Yorubas supporting Wike's "state-capture" moves are too daft to know this.

So on what ground do they now impeach a Governor who have adhered to the rulings of the supreme court and the law? On the ground that the Governor refuses to allow wike to control the Resources of Rivers state & there IGR, like Tinubu did in Lagos for decades or what??

Wike Instructing his 27 lawmakers to Lock Fubara out of the Rivers state House of Assembly Complex in order to prevent Fubara from presenting the Budget to them as instructed by the supreme court is Not only another own goal to the Wike-led faction but it also signifies the obstruction of the implimentation of justice ordered by the supreme court. That itself is a treasonable offence.

Lawmakers loyal to Nyesom Wike believed they had Governor Siminalayi Fubara trapped. Their strategy was straightforward: push him to his limits, provoke an emotional response, and create a scenario that would justify either his impeachment or declaring a state of emergency in Rivers State. However, Fubara managed to outsmart them.

Rather than resisting or reacting impulsively, he opted for a different strategy. He accepted the Supreme Court's ruling without any objections and even agreed to re-present the budget to the House led by Amaewhule. This calculated move took his opponents by surprise.

In a twist of irony, the same lawmakers who had previously imposed a strict 48-hour ultimatum on him for presenting the budget are now sidestepping it.

They anticipated he would refuse, but his compliance left them without a plan.

With no options left, they chose to go on recess without a scheduled return date, thereby revealing their own vulnerability and entrapment.

When some people accused Fubara of weakness, they misjudged him. Although the Supreme Court's decision appeared to favor Wike’s faction, however Fubara ingeniously turned it into a strength. By publicly agreeing with their demand for compliance, he exposed their insincerity.

Now they are reluctant for him to present the budget, contradicting their previous position.

Unlike a typical Nigerian governor who might respond with aggression, Fubara has taken a different route. As the Chief Security Officer of Rivers State, he recognizes that his foremost responsibility is to uphold peace and safeguard lives. By not escalating tensions, he has garnered public support and deftly navigated the political traps set for him.

Ultimately, Fubara has emerged as a leader who anticipates multiple moves ahead. His composed and strategic demeanor not only keeps Rivers State secure but is also gradually undermining the power struggle against him.

If I'm not mistaking, Rivers State HOA have 32 members.
One-third of 32 members are about 11 and two-thirds are about 22 members and Wike have 27 members on his side, that's more than even two-thirds.
The biggest mistake Fubara made was not winning majority of the HOA members to his side before he started fighting Wike and that makes him a very bad politician

That is where they will run into problem, because either through the National Judicial Counsel or by a 2/3 vote of the Assembly, they can recommend the removal of the Chief Judges to the Governor and it is only the Governor that can remove the Chief Judge.

It is true that the Governor and Deputy Governor have erred in law and acted contrary to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, particularly in their alleged attacks on the legislature wherein your salaries and allowances were unlawfully withheld and failure to duly screen commissioners. However, I implore you to consider alternative measures that would address these grievances without resorting to impeachment.

In the spirit of promoting peace and stability in Rivers State, I propose that the impeachment notice be used as a means to bring the Governor to the negotiation table. This would provide an opportunity for constructive dialogue and reconciliation, ultimately leading to a more harmonious relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government.

I humbly request that you consider my plea and temper justice with mercy.
