RIVERS ASSEMBLY SPEAKER ACKNOWLEDGES RECEIPT OF NOTICE OF ALLEGATION OF GROSS MISCONDUCT AGAINST GOV. FUBARA AND DEPUTY, TRANSMITS SAME.

... Calls on EFCC to Investigate Secretary to State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo

In compliance with Section 188 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule, at the House 137th Legislative Sitting, on Monday, announced that he is in receipt of a Notice of Allegation of Gross misconduct signed by 26 members against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu; wherein they listed five grounds of gross misconduct against the Governor and three grounds of Gross misconduct against the deputy with accompanying particulars.

The Speaker said, he received the notice on the 14th of March, 2025 and in line Section 188 of the Constitution, he has done the needful by distributing them to Members and forwarding them to the holders of the office. But to be sure that the Governor and his deputy become aware of the notice, in the event that the letters were not received, the House resolved through a motion that the notice be published in at least three national dailies.

In another development, the House through a Motion move by Rt. Hon. Dumle Maol requested the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, for spending humongous sums of money not back by an Appropriation Law.

Commenting on the Motion, Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule stated that the House resolved to invite the EFCC to help in the investigation because the Governor has barred all heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the State not to honour their invitation; adding that it will not deter the House from performing its constitutional duties.

Also, on Monday, the House amended its Standing Orders, making room for the House to sit at anytime and day within the week if it becomes absolutely necessary in the interest of the State, and in the event of emergency, provided the House is properly convened by the Speaker.

As Nigerians, we can only sit, watch, wail and move on. There is nothing else we can do.

These are the effects of "Money Politics". Sadly, this cycle will continue into the 5 or 6th generation as long as we continue to raise men without "balls of steel".

Look at our institutions? Weak and Frail. They strategically put their wives, daughters and sons in positions of power and then start plundering our commonwealth. They act like animals and howl with impunity.

To them, its a fight to finish. In other places, this is enough to declare a state of emergency and to quickly nip it in the bud.

This is enough for men to say "enough is enough", but guess what? They are hungry and need "Rice".

The men we have raised have lost their "Masculinity", they have lost the most revered spice that makes them dreaded, feared and revered. They walk around with PENlS's that are only capable of erection and penetration.

None of them, have the interest of the nation at heart. NONE!!!
