bea1234567:Quick question though at the bold. Why did you call your uncle stingy? |

Raalsalghul:He doesn't want to spend a dime to bring me over. I'm his errand boy here in Nigeria. I do sell all the things he ships for him and send everything to him. The highest he has given me was 6,000. He knows I'm honest. He told my mum to look for money for my flight ticket. That he will house me.. but he knows we're poor. |

bea1234567:Do you have a pliable skill? If so, then look for a job that will sponsor you, other than that, you are on your own. The issue of your uncle wanting you to do your papers yourself (I'd like to think it is the physical aspect) should not be a problem for you. If you can't do that, then it will be difficult for you to get going. If it is the financial involvement, bro I got news for you, he owes you nothing. |

tensazangetsu20:UK is over crowded. So getting jobs there is difficult. I know a friend who went there in 2023. Dude is still struggling to stand on his feet. US is far better than the UK when it come to job opportunities. Cos you can't compare the number of companies in the US to the UK. And if you have strong knowledge in a field like tech, you'll live comfortably in the US. I can't go to the UK to settle down. Unless maybe to visit. |

Nazgul:If one can’t make it in the uk they won’t make it in the USA. The USA is way more competitive and way more harder than the uk. I knew a girl like that she was living in Poland and blamed not getting a job on racism she went to the USA and has been there for like 3 years and can’t find a job. |

tensazangetsu20:That girl never still find work? To think her mama applied for green card on her behalf. So work authorisation isn't her problem. In such a situation, isn't Nigeria a better option? This is what I'm saying: if it gets too tough in the abroad, leverage on the education and experience to get something tangible in Nigeria. |
| Re: Japa With ₦30M? Think Twice – A Realistic Breakdown Of Life Abroad by Nazgul: 4:18pm On Mar 17, 2025 |
tensazangetsu20:That's because she travelled to the US without any degree or skill. I have a cousin in the US who sends me links of jobs in America. Do you know that out of every 5 jobs I apply to 4 would reach out to me telling me that they can't hire me because of my location. So if I happen to be there, I should be able to get at least 2 jobs to begin with. This is possible because I have a very rich CV. So once any prospective recruiter looks at it, he'll definitely want to reach out. A lot of Nigerians travel out with incomplete papers, zero or poor academic records and no skill at all. So they usually find it very difficult in getting a job. Cos no cooperate firm in the US would hire you if you lack the skill and qualifications they need. |

Gerrard59:The longterm projection when they factor in exchange rate. They can put in work now they are young and achieve more faster. There is also room for growth. It is not like banking is a career for most bankers. Not when some of us studied Food&Nutrition. We were there for the money and we can still go elsewhere for same money. What is bad about care work? You seem to hate it a lot. |

tensazangetsu20:Like I said. My post isn't for countries like UK and Canada. I understand that those countries are seriously overcrowded. So getting good jobs there is going to be a herculean task. My post is for the US only. If you're highly qualified most especially in tech, you can comfortably run 2 (or more) jobs concurrently. It's all about your niche and your skill. |

Treadway:Don't mind fullclub. He is looking for who to deceive. This isn't the reality even with him. He's just trying to discourage others and that's his style. He's not talking about impregnating his wife that's a dependant and allowed to work more hours than him. How can you, the man be a student and your wife a dependant and you impregnate the woman almost immediately you got to the UK? Now, you are complaining about things being tough. Only tough for you, bro! Again, nigga hoards info a lot and no one is gonna show him the way as well. He's got no special skill apart from blogging that Google and AI have bastardized. Guy was once big in Nigeria doing numbers, but all that is past for him now. Morever, rent comes with all those bills he's putting out here. That's a lie. No one should take his submission here serious. |

tensazangetsu20:Tech jobs? Another challenge people don't talk about is full right to work. In UK, companies are boldly stating on job adverts that they don't sponsor. In fact, that's the first interview question right now: "Do you need Sponsorship now or in the future"? Once you answer yes, forget the interview/job. If you lie, they will still find out through your share code. International students/foreigners need sponsorship now or in the future unless they are on global talent visa which is not easy to get or on a dependent visa for 5 years with partner as main applicant. One lady talked about this visa issue on twitter. https://x.com/AdoraNwodo/status/1881747738263420937 |

SocialJustice:Brother, you just opened my eyes. Wow. No wonder some people said they are having 2 to 3 houses abroad. So, this is how they do it. I am saving this. You see how smart some people think? Most people mind won't even reason towards this aspect. With this, you don't need to worry about not meeting up cuz others are paying and you are using what they pay to settle the mortgage bit by bit. This is an eye opener. |
