I repeat there is no improvement in personal standard of living aside improvements or access to cheap food Nothing else. Most of us are forced to work nights jobs and back home in the morning, sleep and return back. No party no visiting of friends, no sight seeing just work back home.

Communal improvement based on social amenities. Yes
good road is there.
Light is there
Fresh air
Crime rate is low

So if our government could have sense and work effortlessly to tackle this area Nigeria shalm be great
Brother, but you and I and every other person know that, this will never be possible in this generation. Do you believe Nigeria will ever be like the Western world and things will truly work in this country? Let's not deceive ourselves.

Corruption will never allow it. The only way Nigeria will be great is if they divide the country into their individual parts (Biafra republic, Oduduwa Republic, and Niger Delta Republic). With that, everyone will start to develop their side.

But as much as we are still together as one country, forget it. Nigeria can never and will never be great with the level of impunities and corruptions.

It seems like I will run a course in this project management. But mine will be Engineering Project Management so I can take up roles of Engineering Project Manager as I have leadership quality. Easy peasy!

God bless you for this piece sir.

As it is, Nigeria haff tire me.

pls do you know of any easy way to escape the country?

I write books but Amazon closed my account for no reason

Now I wanted to do YouTube to raise funds but they said I won't be monitized.

I'm 24 and hard-working person sir. Pls I need your guidance sir mcslize 🙏🙏
Why did they say you won't be monetized? Who told you this? People are cashing out on YouTube.

I saw someone that resigned from his peanut 150k per month job. He is now making between $1700- $2000 per month on YouTube. His sister forced him to resign from his job and he was glad he did. Do it right and you will get monetized.

It's not always like that. You can't use one person's experience to generalise the majority populace.

It's never the end of the road. No condition is permanent. If I can eat and live comfortably, who says you can't? In 2017 I couldn't eat. One naira I didn't have.

I even called two people to help me with just 3k to buy fish. One was telling stories. The other one told me to call the next day. Next day came, I called. This man didn't pick. I give it a time and called again. He refused to pick. How much was I looking for? Just 2-3k to buy fish. It was one of my guys then that helped me with 500 naira. And guess what, I used it to buy one big fish of 300 naira.

Back then things were still very cheap. That's why I am angry about how bad things have really become in this country of today. Back then, with just 2k, you can fill a gas of 5kg, cook full pot of soup and change will still remain. But today, I am not where I want to be but things have changed drastically.

Why am I writing all these? Is to let you know that, it's just a matter of time, your story will change over night. Mark this write up. Luck will shine on you. I can feel the connection here. Luck will shine on you along the way.

So, don't give up. You are on your way to greatness and you will tell your story some days of how you went from grass to grace.

Brother, you just opened my eyes. Wow. No wonder some people said they are having 2 to 3 houses abroad. So, this is how they do it. I am saving this. You see how smart some people think? Most people mind won't even reason towards this aspect. With this, you don't need to worry about not meeting up cuz others are paying and you are using what they pay to settle the mortgage bit by bit. This is an eye opener.
Thanks for the appreciation. Some of us will get to the UK and do in 5 years what others who have been there 35 years haven't achieved. We no come life come play. There's even something called lease option agreement there where you are buying the property but paying in installments like rent, no bank involved. Once you settle with the landlord, you rent the property to multiple tenants who pay all you owe and you keep the extra.

Opportunities in the UK sha, Nigeria no join. I haven't even talked about buying companies from people that are about to retire after running their businesses for decades. You get lucky and you'll meet people who will do a seller finance for you. You pay them monthly over 3-5 years from money the business makes and you now own a UK business. It's not luck self, oyibo too different from black man. Easy, sweet life.

But how will my story change overnight when no one is willing to help me sir. I'm at ground zero right now.. Pls find me small thing sir let's use and cook small soup.. We're sleeping on empty stomach today.. I'm begging on my knees pls..

I wanted to sell my uncle clipper but anti b o t banned me in that thread.. That's why I'm here begging hopelessly..

Why is no one willing to help anyone in this country any more.. If I make it tomorrow, will it be bad to do the same to others.. It's well

Mediocrity is doing you something strong.

Rather than fight mediocrity, you continue to find the justification for your mediocrity and resist those trying to tell you "you can do better".

This is my last response to you.

UK is over crowded. So getting jobs there is difficult.

I know a friend who went there in 2023. Dude is still struggling to stand on his feet.

US is far better than the UK when it come to job opportunities. Cos you can't compare the number of companies in the US to the UK.

And if you have a still in a field like tech, you'll like comfortably in the US.

I can't go to the UK to settle down. Unless maybe to visit.

I'm genuinely curious, have you thought of applying for jobs in Nigeria? Or what do you think about it?

I'm not surprised nursing doesn't pay that much. It's only in the US and maybe Switzerland (not too sure about this) that nursing is lucrative pre and post-COVID. The hype about nursing jobs in the UK is because of the exchange rate not its actual lucrative-ness. Nursing isn't a lucrative career, period.
How and where do you guys get this nursing does not pay says who?or you th inking bank staff ?

Yes, I lived in UK for years. Your pay is still low, I know most newcomers earn this range of pay for couple of years, try to upgrade yourself, get a side hustle online if possible.

I studied in Sheffield, worked actross uk especially in the South, northern ireland, west Midlands and Ireland accross the border.

My lowest pay after 3years in uk was £37-£40 per h highest ever was £47. I had colleagues that were earning £12 all through these years because they fail to updgrade themselves, find opportunities and unwilling to move.

UK is not as it is used to be but there are still opportunities if you open your eyes.

Below are some of the opportunities i took amd moved. It will get better. Safe.
You know some people do not believe guys earn as much as 40 to 70 pounds an hour in the UK

Nursing is not a lucrative career in most parts of the world. Unless there is a different meaning for the term "lucrative". Job security? Yes. But lucrative? No.

The longterm projection when they factor in exchange rate. They can put in work now they are young and achieve more faster. There is also room for growth. It is not like banking is a career for most bankers. Not when some of us studied Food&Nutrition. We were there for the money and we can still go elsewhere for same money.

What is bad about care work?
You seem to hate it a lot.
I don't hate it. In fact, I never knew such a career existed until our people entered the UK en mass. The way it is depicted by them says a lot. I have nothing against it. My issues are: people who had good careers in Nigeria going into it. Those who had a high standard of living in Nigeria going into it. Nigerians in Nigeria who trump it as the best meal after sliced bread aka a care worker out-earn a banker in Nigeria. It is this one that annoys me the most. I am all for legit work, but why would someone come on Obasanjo's Internet to say a skyscraper cleaner earns more than a bank manager? Yes, they nearly killed me for opposing that notion on this forum.

I understand some leaving to get back into their passion via studies. That is appropriate, and I support it. I was once like them but later realised research wasn't for me, and opted out.

Japa is not a one-size-fits-all decision. If you have ₦30M and solid income streams in Nigeria, it might be wiser to invest and build wealth at home. But if safety and quality of life matter more, than wealth accumulation then relocating might still be the best option but must be done tactically especially when coming on student visa as one academic error could throw u off.

I remember you very well..I remember engaging with your earlier thread, and wishing you the best through your ordeal at the time.

But I can't understand why you are yet again creating a thread like this one, that achieves nothing, ultimately.

I'm sure if we could turn back time, to go back to where you were mentally when you began your journey to Japa, 10001 of these kain threads would not have deterred you. So I just wonder what you hope to achieve with it now. Even Dele Momodu wey dey cap, prolly spends more than half of the year overseas.

These kain decisions should be left to each person to make and deal with. No need for convincing or explaining. It is pointless! I don taya to dey read this kain threads for here aswear

Those that think it best to stay in Naija should be left alone, as they have the conviction that they know what they are doing. Those that think is best to Japa should be left alone, as they also have the conviction that they know what they are doing...

All this shalaye is not necessary
Did the post irk you? Adults are generally presumed to be competent and responsible for their decisions, and are expected to manage their own affairs and make decisions about their lives, including travels. Don't take it personal, travelling will always be a burning issue and I don't expect any adult to make decisions based on a post by a stranger.
