Trump is saying they are gang members because he says they are gang members.
They may be in the end, but that is a terrible and dangerous precedent to set.
One of them could be innocent or even a US citizen the President is claiming is an alien gang member.
And none would have the ability to appeal Trump's decision.

What I find shocking is the silence. Noone is speaking out or Is that a strategy? For hos long will they continue to wait. I feel at this point that irreparable damage is being done in America. So, why the silence?

And people aren't reporting it the way you asked it yet. They are largely repeating the claims of the administration.
It's a hard battle to fight when Trump can just repeatedly say that they are just deporting drug dealers and terrorists. And those who oppose it want terrorists and drug dealers in the US.

They have also been employing a flood the zone strategy.
Push everything out at once making it hard to fight and highlight everything.
And Democrats are generally weak anyhow, overly concerned about norms while Trump is flouting laws. Added to that is that they also don't have any real power for at least another 1.5 years when they can retake the House.

Americans are waking up and speaking out against Trump ...people who voted for him ... they not not only see him as a dictator and fascist ... but trampling American values. He is using a 1798 law ... to justify his actions .. misusing the law. His former attorney Rudy Giuliani ...who was a prosecutor ... dusted off and misused the RICO law to put "gang members" from the housing project in prison. The law was intended to round up the Mafia and throw them in prison. If you were associated with the Mafia ...you were deemed a member...part of the family although there is no evidence that you committed a crime. So the Police raided the housing project.....
