President Bola Tinubu has granted another massive contract to his longtime ally, Gilbert Chagoury, tasking him with the reconstruction of the nation’s trillion-naira seaport despite his controversial past.

Chagoury, whose Hi-Tech company secured the highly criticized $11 billion Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project in 2024, has now landed another lucrative deal to renovate Lagos' two major ports, Tin Can and Apapa.
