I thought we saw some ragtags protesting on the streets yesterday and blocking the major roads, pls, where are they today because I'm still looking for them. I thought they can use their chests to collect bullets but they're nowhere to be found on the streets barely 12hours later. Even Bokoharam/ISWAP do not come out to threaten that they will attack national assets, they just do it without threatening the Government but some so called militants had the guts to come out openly and threatened our national installations. They thought they could robb the surface of the sword of Jagaban and not get brutally wounded. I pity you.
Let me sound a note of warning, there's a big difference between Yaradua's, GEJ's Administrations and Tinubu's Administration. The difference is the fact that, both Yaradua and GEJ did not have Tucano jets during their time but Tinubu has the luxury of Tucanos and some other badass fighter jets at his disposal. Therefore, Tinubu will never go begging like Yaradua and GEJ did. And moreso, the terrain of the SS is more favourable to map out than the North which is mountainous, steeply and very wide. Even the waters inside the creeks will reject them this time around. I am a proponent of SS but no single group is greater than the will of the state. Fubara has no right to have demolished the house of Assembly neither does he the right to flagrantly disobey the Supreme Court more than two weeks after her verdict. This is not a tribal issue but the rule of law.

From the section above from where the President derives his powers to suspend the Governor and the Lawmakers. It gives the President the power to use extraordinary measures to restore peace and security. But this part of the section is what some quack social media lawyers are deliberately avoiding and have refused to quote it because it dismantles all their silly narratives of the President not having the power to suspend the Governor. An extraordinary measures can imply suspending the Governor as long as doing so will restore peace and security in Rivers. As we were all aware that an impeachment process had already commenced against the Governor while the Governor had consistently refused to obey the judgement of the Supreme Court. Allowing both arms of Government to remain would have escalated the crisis in the state. Therefore President Tinubu evoked the section of the constitution which gave him the powers to deploy extraordinary measures which led to the suspension of both the executive and legislative arms. Even if you take this case to heaven, they will back Tinubu and declare the suspension of the Governor constitutional.

After God, na Tinubu 💪 God bless Nigeria
According to your post Section 305(3c)
there is actual breakdown of public order and public safety in the Federation or any part thereof to such extent as to require extraordinary measures to restore peace and security;
why has Tinubu not declared SOE in ondo as farmers are being killed and protesters are disrupting the peace?

Angry protesters have shut the Governor’s Office at Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital over the killing of another five farmers by armed herdsmen at Aba Oyinbo in Akure North local government area of Ondo State.

LEADERSHIP learnt that the deceased were shot dead in another invasion by the hoodlums in the early hours of Wednesday.

Not pleased by the disposition of the state government to the incessant killings, the angry protesters stormed the Governor’s Office to display the bodies of the casualties of the invasion.

Commuters and motorists on Akure/Owo Road were stranded as protesters assembled in Ogbese where they barricaded the road in protest.

Recall that armed herdsmen had about a fortnight ago killed 20 farmers in four farm settlements in the same local government.

With the way FG took action after the explosion of pipelines yesterday, it's now clear that oil and gas are what powers Nigeria economy.
When you tell them that Niger Delta is the reason why we can complete with other big economies in Africa some olodo would come out to tell use how agriculture and tax generates more revenue than oil in Nigeria.
We've never diversified from oil at any time in our history and it is sad thing. Everything is about oil in Nigeria, oil was the reason for everything good and bad that has happened to Nigeria. How i wish we never discovered oil in Nigeria, probably Nigeria would have been in a better place.
Omo na Niger Delta dey feed Nigeria QED.
Many things power the Nigerian economy some this silly glorification

for months under Buhari NOTHING was shared.

Yes oil is important but agriculture is more important

The commom man on the stree does not know what oil looks like

Services are just as important if not more

Mobile telephony and the internet online payment service ICT is more important to Nigeria than oil and is 20% of the economy

Many people will suffer more if MTN shuts down than any pipeline

You are totally offside talking about Tuscano jets in the creeks.
Tuscano jets are utterly useless as the k in knife in the creeks.
You are showing your ignorance of having never been to the creeks before but doing OVERKNOWETH on nairaland.
I no blame you.
You mentioned Yaradua and GEJ, why did you leave out Buhari?
Abi there was no bombing of pipelines during Buhari time? Or are you exhibiting selective schizophrenia?
How tuscano jet wan see even cow for creek wey forest cover dey everywhere?
The majority of places in the creeks where sunlight does not reach the ground.
Since dem born you, u don ever see mangrove before, not online, koro koro with your two eyes.
Those guys wey u dey find, don retreat go creeks.
You don 4get as e dey be, we bomb today, u repair tomorrow, we bomb another section next tomorrow, u repair and we bomb and the game continues.
Tpain just declared the end of Yaradua amnesty program and the commencing of large scale pipeline destruction and/or bunkering.
No forget say even after obj sent troops to destroy odi, the issue no still stop, na only after Yaradua amnesty.
In the coming days, you go hear next pipeline bombing na for Delta and Bayelsa state, na then u go know say bone wey tight for Tpain throat na bone for snake.
9ja economy go soon hear am.
You heard it from me first.

You nailed it. That extra ordinary measures include so many things. It means the president can employ whatever measures he feels that are beyond ordinary, in a state of emergency, including deploying men of Nigerian security forces to enforce laws and order.

All those mûmü property agent lawyers didn’t touch that phrase.
