Obviously, Tinubu read my last thread and decided to force the situation before he gets himself in a quagmire. My prediction can still happen though.

By offering Wike the PDP Presidential ticket for 2027, they will destroy his current alliance with Tinubu & resolve their internal crisis in one move.

How?

It will pit Wike, a power-hungry beast against his partner in crime. Wike cannot be naive enough to plan that he will reject it or accept it and work for Tinubu in 2027 in the hope that Tinubu will rig him in come 2031.

Too risky.

That will be naive of him as anything can happen tomorrow in Nigerian politics. Tinubu owes a lot of "boys" that brought him to power before Wike even showed up and it is very possible that he will want to settle his Lagos boys before Wike. Also, Shettima is not dumb to just roll over for Wike if 2031 is there for the taking especially since he has been undoubtedly the most docile VP ever. Not even Osinbajo was this inactive.

Secondly, Tinubu will be weak by the end of his 2nd term just like OBJ & Buhari were. The vultures will swoop in and try to take 2031 for themselves regardless of Tinubu's pact with Wike.


If such opportunity is presented to Wike today, he will be a fool not to accept and start actively working on it against Tinubu as it might be his only shot at Presidency because by 2031, Atiku and Obi may have strengthened their aspirations with a structured party to mount a better challenge.

Right now, they are both weak for 2027 and Wike will pose a serious opponent for Tinubu.

Don't forget that Tinubu can still betray Wike as he (not Wike) now holds Rivers State by the balls. Wike's position is as precarious as Fubara's. Ironically, PDP might be his only true stronghold.

Wike will definitely have to resign his job and Tinubu will reverse all his dictatorial moves against Fubara as a result.
