TWELVE years after Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in three North-East states due to Boko Haram Islamic terrorism, President Bola Tinubu repeated it in Rivers State on Tuesday. With no apparent war other than the in-fighting between the top political actors in Rivers, it is a hasty and contentious decision with dangerous ramifications.https://punchng.com/tinubus-hasty-declaration-of-emergency-in-rivers/

The ugly Gay Bat has to do that hastily in other to please his d¡ck sucker, the drunkard of Obio Akpor. This is what happens when a ugly gay is ruling. Failure to do that to please the drunkard of Obio Akpor, it means he doesn't want to get his daily dosage of orgasm anymore from the drunkard. |

I want to get it clearly: Why did Tinubu declare a State of Emergency in Rivers State? Because Wike and governor Fubara dey quarrel? Chai! Shame dey catch me for Tinubu and his supporters, walahi! You declare a State of Emergency because two people dey quarrel. The NASS should not allow this to stand at all! This is the exact reason why the constitution is made. In the future, one desperate president will just employ someone to instigate political crisis in an opposition State and he will declare a State of Emergency. Tinubu already showing his desperation for 2027! |

Maybe if the gladiators had restricted their affairs to personal attacks, they wouldn't have played into his hands - if true. Funny how the commentators failed to see the bigger picture, Fubara would have been impeached in about three weeks from now and that would have thrown the state into more mess. |

The only justification by those who support this dictatorship is that Obasanjo did it, so why not.. So because one man stole public fund in the past is enough justification for others to go on a stealing spree.. You sat with a few people that called themselves Principal officers of National Assembly to decide an imposition of SOE on a state. How does a few people equate 2/3rd majority of National Assembly. Jonathan indeed led a people-centric government. Because when he declared a State of Emergency in the North East due to the activities of terrorists, he didn't suspend the governors. He listened to the voices of reason. He wasn't intent on capturing the state for political expediency.. Make una no worry, what goes around comes around.. |

Indeed the declaration was to hasty not even giving the governor enough time to implement the supreme court's judgement. This whole thing has wike written over it and it's all due to the local government elections. They know sim would win and that would pave way for his 2027 re-election bid. Another mandate has been stolen by the mandate thief |

It's very clear to all. Tinubu is an intelligent dictator who thinks grabbing is the solution to anything he can't get. This terrible human and failure has failed in everything and should even declare state of emergency in all of Nigeria while suspending himself as the president. The situation in Nigeria is far worse than what's happening in Rivers. Jonathan had a valid reason for declaring state of emergency and didn't remove any governor when this crooked face cried blood against it. Obasanjo's reason is very much justified than this action of this daft human. Those supporting this should go on. Just don't cry when a future president cites this act to suspend any governor at will. |

I Wonder why the President is shielding Wike. Did Wike fund him with Billions for campaign and he wants Wike to get his money back from Rivers? Did they enter into a NDA that he is scared Wike may open the can of Worms? Could it be because he is using Wike to destabilize the opposition and because of that he must appease Wike and allow him have a field day in Rivers? So many questions on my mind about his actions that shows he is taking side with Wike. I am confused. From the beginning i NEVER liked Wike's kind of politics. I have always been a supporter of Fubara on this River's governance though he is from the opposition party. Wike fights everybody, from Peter Odili to Ameachi and now Fubara even Buhari, he was against him. Well, may Nigeria win. |

Salewa97:There is everything wrong. It is abuse of power because he even executed the clause without senate consent, it shows a biased nature of a man who is suppose to be a president of all. It reflects the terrible precedencies that Tinubu and his party has continue to foist on the Nigerian people, Institution and systems. Always interpreting the law up side down on his terms and definitions. Am not surprised because who was offered Presidency, didn't win it meritoriously, wouldn't be pleasing people who helped him procure the presidency at the expense of the people. That Stupid Advocate of Nigeria who sees himself as attorney general, shouting don't dare the government advised him wrongly but then again, how do you blame a man that sees his boss as an emperor and Nigeria as his empire... |

Tinubu is a man of action. He has done what he thinks is best for the people of Rivers state and I believe he will be vindicated in the long run. This is not the first time a president will declare a state of emergency, so lets see how it goes. |

The incompetent buffoon does not care about the consequences of his action. Nothing is too precious for the Iragbiji clown to ruin in the name of political ambition. He will trample on our democracy just to remain politically relevant. Imagine inviting the military into a democracy in 2025. It shows how destructive the clown in chief can be. |

We already know Wike is the problem just like Ganduje just like Akpabio but in Tinubu’s government the crooks are his boys. All governors and elected officials should beware. This is what Tinubu sees Nigeria as. A country with a lack of constitution he can remove democratically elected people from seat at the whim of his crooked boys. For all the people that abused Buhari, if he did this would you be quiet?? |

Yeah very hasty, only 2 pipelines have been blown up before his SoE declaration. He was supposed to wait until everything went in flames and queues returned to filling Stations before taking action. Once you hate someone, even if he dashed you money you still can't stop the hate. Timubu did the best thing and sent a good message to others who might be contemplating trouble making in their states. Jagaban in charge here, every weaklings should vamoose. |

A very ill-advised move. The wording of the emergency declaration even exposed BAT's bias in the matter. Imagine a president being so openly biased in a national broadcast and misrepresenting the situation to justify the action of SoE... |
