Our generation of Igbos have learned from history and are making efforts not to repeat similar mistakes that cost Igbos so much.


Even the Yoruba lie that Igbos did not vote MKO Abiola have also been debunked with the result of the 1993 Presidential election showing that out of the 4 states Southeast had in 1993, MKO Abiola won one state and scored more than 43% of total votes cast in the other 3 states meaning Tofa won MkO Abiola in those 3 Igbo states with a very narrow escape despite the fact that Tofa had an Igbo running mate.


During 1993 Presidential election, Humphrey Nwosu an Igbo man was the Chairman of NEC (today's INEC) and the then Military Head of State IBB told him to stop the result collation, but Nwosu refused and went ahead to finish the collation and announce MKO as the winner, he took a very big risk for MKO Abiola a Yoruba man but Yorubas don't ever tell that story to their children instead they tell their children that it was Igbo man Arthur Nzeribe that caused the annulment of June 12 1993 Presidential election. I attended that wedding with some selected members from our National guild of surveyors so I know what I am talking.
