Anem... And we have a saying im my place(Ibibio)... "Umu dia gha anem, dia no inem aying ado."(Don't know if my written Ibibio is good) ![]() The saying means..."Even if you don't eat Anem, eat it because of it's name. " The Irony of the whole thing is that, "Anem" means something that's sweet. And we all know that this yam is usually bitter. So, if you don't eat it because it's bitter, eat it because of its name. |
