Why not first renovate all roads that have heavy economic activities in Nigeria.

You are evaluating a National economic asset as if it is a tech product.

Wonderment!

What % of federal roads do you think that this represents?

What is the situation with all federal roads now?

If most federal roads are in a horrible state of disrepair due to terrible T-Pain's and APC's neglect, what is the sense in borrowing money for this new road of propaganda huh
Re: Update As Lagos-Calaba Highway Reaches Okun-Ajah (Video) by Scandium:
Hmmm, can someone please explain how they are going to pass through the coastal region of the Niger Delta. The Niger Delta region terrain is extremely complex with so many creeks, swamps, tributaries and rivers. They will need to probably build more than 500 to 1000 Bridges of various lengths if they get to that place.

Ordinary Bodo-Bonny Island road and bridge self, Julius Berger wan faint ontop since many years now. E come be the entire coastal Niger Delta wey get probably more than 500 to1000 different creeks and river bodies that are extremely complex and swampy.

How them wan do am? Unless they wont pass through the coastal region of Niger Delta, if not them fit run leave this road.

The Pictures below is how Niger Delta main coastal region looks like. All those blue lines are water bodies, creeks and rivers.

This is just a question, someone that has an idea should please educate us.

When u said subsidy is gone... Do you mean to create massive unemployment,
Hyper inflation
Artificial scarcity of products.

Just to remind you that one tuber of yam is now ₦5,500.... How is this government handling it...

Insecurity in our forest reserve
Daily kidnapping on the rise..
Ritualist at broad day light...

Why is everything so messed up... What's happening to our thinking Caps?

Nigerians are not benefiting anything from the proceeds of crude oil....

Now Rivers state was recently fvcked from behind....

Lord have mercy...

I've not been there but I can imagine how it looks. I remember when I went to Togo like 15 years ago, they have this beautiful coastal road with a lot of hotels solid structures along the road. It was so beautiful and the road was so smooth and solid. This is the vision I have of this road.

Glitcher:
Anyone saying this project is a waste and unnecessary is very selfish. This may be the only project the people in the swamps of the Niger delta will benefit from since the beginning of oil exploration. This road will connect the hinterland to the Atlantic ocean and open up the oil producing rural communities. These are the people providing the money for the construction of roads in other parts of the country and they deserve a standard road too.
Story that touch. People like you will disappear when it gets abandoned. The project is at Ajah in 2025, which year will it get to Ondo and in which decade will it get to Calabar?

That's how una dey use emotion to waste our scarce resources with white elephant projects. Common mile 2 to badagry is taking 15years to complete

Train tracks will also run along the full length of the road. The construction for that will start this year.

Excellent work! Next, let's focus on planning train routes from Lagos to Calabar, including strategic stopovers along the way.
Construction of train tracks along the full length of the road begins this year.

there are long term projects and there are short term projects. You don't want them to just do wuruwuru to the answer construction and in few years we start having problems with such projects.

It is either you are not included or it doesn't include you. Jesus said, you have the poors with you always, but me, you will not always have me.

Those roads have always been with you and renovations are always going on. In the history of Nigeria, no government has ever done the kind of renovation and reconstruction of roads within 18 months of assumption of office as it is being done by Umahi under Tinubu government, not even Yaradua / Jonathan that inherited OBASANJO wealth.

Attached are some Coastal Highway roads in Africa downloaded from Facebook when this project started. We shall have one in Nigeria wether you like it or not.

People know the economic impact of that road. Jonathan government had wanted to start the Coastal Railway project in his second term but he lost election. All over the world, coastal highways bring enormous development.

Nearly all the people that are complaining are doing so out of envy. Imagine the attached pictures. I have 10 other coastal highway pictures. In the next 10 years, our road would be like one of them.

That's what I'm thinking.. is this a heavily traveled corridor? .... leading to the port ... to export produce?.... or import produce? ... to better our economy? ...or better for foreign investors? Can someone explain?

I'm watching the equipment ......how can such a massive projects have so few machinery? ...and they move soooo slow? When is this project schedule to finish? ....in our grandchildren's lifetime?.... I doubt it

Oga it is not "our resources". It is the resources of the people in the Niger Delta, no amount is too much to spend if the development is for them. It is their money. Get that point first.
