Federal High Court Clears Way for Natasha's Recall Process, Gives INEC Go-Ahead To Perform Its Constitutional Duty In a landmark judgement delivered in Lokoja, a Federal High Court has set aside an earlier ruling that restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from receiving the recall process initiated by constituents of Kogi Central Senatorial District against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. The court's decision, announced just a few minutes ago, affirms that the recall process is constitutionally valid and aligns with the civic rights of the constituents. The judge urged the constituents to continue exercising their rights in an orderly and peaceful manner, as they have done so far. This development is a significant step forward for the constituents, who had launched the recall process citing a vote of no confidence in Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan's representation. The recall process, guided by INEC's constitutional guidelines, may potentially lead to the senator's removal from office before the end of her term. https://www.visblog.ng/2025/03/federal-high-court-clears-way-for.html

Kobojunkie:It begins with a compilation of signatures from her constituency which will be used to demand INEC to conduct a plebiscite to determine whether to recall Natasha from the senate . You just rush into threads to always expose your ignorance . |

Kobojunkie:Maybe you should do 2 seconds of research before you launch into an insultive tirade against Nigeria from your US base. It is members of her constituency, who put her in office, collating signatures to recall her as they are democratically allowed to do. As someone advised, go and read up about the process for recalling legislators in Nigeria. |

This recall process.. ,this very Natasha recall process is nothing but political vendetta. The way it was started, the propaganda behind it and the excitement that spews forth from the APC coven prove that. The level of primitive kiriji politics emanating from apc these days, is starting revolt |

owobokiri:Try to grow up sometimes Bro. Not everything is partisan politics as I said the other time. If Natasha did this in any nation of the world, the knives would be out for her similarly. She refused to be placated, refused to see herself as subject to the authority of the Nigerian Senate she labelled a "cult" on the international stage. She has done so much damage to the image of Nigeria to the extent some who remain passionate about discipline and decorum may rigidly insist she must pay. If you were not a bigoted, unexposed and biased local champion you'd know that, worldwide, political leaders, are suspended and expelled from their Parties for far, far,far less than what Natasha has done. If anything Nigeria is too lenient and always tolerating the misbehaviour of political leaders. This is precisely what has led Natasha to be so wayward, unreasonable and brazen in pursuit of a personal vendetta without thinking of the general damage she is doing to Nigeria. She believed herself untouchable simply because men had indulged her all her political life. Even female legislators complained Natasha was pet of the senate, and Akpabio, enjoying privileges they were never offered. Look at Andrew Bridgen, UK Conservative MP, that was initially suspensed for making offensive verbal comparison alone, and then completely expelled later, to note you and others are throwbacks who want Nigerian politics to remain in the dark ages merely because you play politics of devotion to personalities and not ideas. I don't see it ending well for Natasha to be honest. If she is not recalled, and after her suspension, she will be a shunned pariah in the Senate who will linger on painfully isolated till voted out in 2027.

fickleawolowo:Whatever. Let Kogi folks deal with Natasha how they see fit. So far as the recall process is transparent and consisting of members of her constituency then everything is democratically in order. |
