Lamanii22:If you are not good, pick up a math book — even if you need to start from grade 1 math up— and learn for yourself. You can help teach it to your children if you wish for them to be better than you. These things don't magically happen. ![]() |

Lamanii22:Yes they can. They can carry the brain of anybody in your family that's academically sound. Children don't necessarily mirror their parents only. If you are not married, you can look out for an academically sound man to marry. |

Lamanii22:There you should be able to build on that as far as SS3 and even college math. You only need to review the various topics, and then practice, practice, practice. ![]() |

Children mostly inherit their smarts from moms....so they probably would take after you in that aspect if you leave it to fate. However, if you deliberately broaden their problem solving skills from right now, they will be gurus. Their brains have a huge capabilities that can do incredible things if you help them work it fa. May God bless our children |

I'm also terrible in mathematics, if you want to ruin my day, tell me to do mathematics...I even dropped it in high school and didn't continue with it for the rest of my high school years. I made sure to get a man who's good in mathematics and science hoping that they'll inherit his brains because if they inherit mine, they're doomed...🤦🤦🤦 |

If they’re not completely good in math but excel in other areas, how does that pose a problem for anyone? |

Kids should be proficient in Math, Logic, Science and Comprehension. Because all of us need those things to thrive in Life. And unfortunately you can see what happens when you have a society full of poorly-educated people. And poorly-educated people will churning out poor teachers, who then teach kids poorly. So the cycle continues. Get a good math textbook and teach yourself Pry1-3 math. So you can teach your kid. Also follow this account on IG: nefescorner |

Is ability to understand certain subjects and courses genetically transferred too? Well, I'm good in mathematics until you start adding alphabets. As long as it 2x4 or 243x345. I can still solve it but when you start adding Y, X, B and so on, or asking me to find X that's clearly written on the board. At that point. I don't know maths again |

Mathematical excellence is not necessarily genetic sir. If you probably devoted your mind to learning and understanding it with passion, you would have been good at it... Same with every other subject. Your mind and passion were clearly elsewhere, which is quite fine. Everybody shouldn't have the same interests. Just train your kids properly... They will find their own interests and passions. |

Lamanii22:I remembered my dad telling me that his best subject in senior secondary school was Biology…. I saw my Olodo self doing very well in Biology to the extent my classmates were always hustling to sit beside me in Biology tests and exams The magic word is for you to tell them that you were the best in maths in your days as a student |

Life is funny — sometimes children shine brightest in the areas we find toughest. Just keep nurturing them with love and patience; you might be raising the next mathematics genius without even knowing it!" |

Lamanii22:Are you sure you are not good in Mathematics? Find out why you are weak then fix it in your self and your children. You will need to be hands on with their teachers to help them optimally |

Of course they can be very good in mathematics. Mathematics is not learnt in a day, u can start mentally developing them from childhood by incorporating mathematics in their daily activities, play mentally developing games like chess n scrabble with them, there are simplified mathematics videos on YouTube, download n watch the videos with them. |
