The National President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), Alhaji Yerima Shettima says the eight years of Nasir El-Rufai as governor of Kaduna state brought pain and sorrow for many residents of the state.

Speaking in an interview with Sun, Shettima also rubbished the coalition being spearheaded by El-Rufai against President Bola Tinubu, saying it won’t have any impact on the 2027 general elections.

“Even if they merge, they won’t have any serious political influence in any party they may join. Let me break it down this way. In the last election, did Nasir El-Rufai deliver Kaduna to Tinubu? The answer is no. Even in his constituency, he could not win”.

“El-Rufai is said to be an orator, a good talker laced with lies – making stories out of nothing. In terms of electoral value, he has nothing to offer. He has enjoyed the platform of APC to govern Kaduna for eight years”.

“Eight years of pain and sorrow for the majority of Kaduna residents. He enjoyed the Buhari tsunami in 2015 and manipulated electoral processes to come back in 2019, he enjoyed that with the support of the Federal Government. On his own, he would not have been voted for. What came out of his second election was on record”.

“So, for me, El-Rufai is not an issue. He only appears to be to a few people outside Kaduna as something. In recent times, because he could not get a favour from the current administration, he’s making himself to be like a champion. But we all know; he cannot deliver his polling booth”.

Yerima Shettima is making a lot of sense here.

El Rufai is not worth his weight in sand, sometimes when he talks, I try to make out where the sound is coming from, only to look down and behold a mosquito-level slim humanoid infected with a faith on a promise of wisdom of how to knack 72 virgins but only in death, cos physically, he is blessed with frail bones.

APC have started their political crisis in OSUN State because they are looking for a way to also declare a state of emergency in OSUN State but they will fail by the grace of God.

What people forgot to understand why APC merger work is because sitting governors then and minister plus senate president them work for the merger not relegated politicians and losers

didn’t start with failed politicians CPC was inchage of the north then ACN in charge of SW Part of APGA and co not this we’re seeing now elrufai can’t grip kaduna Atiku a failed politician and obi from the wailers region they have no weight since the merger party will be SDP then someone will definitely come out in PDP politicians decamping is different from merger

If opposition was dragging the figures with him in 2019 and 2023 when he was a sitting governor, then how popular is he when he had left office ?

Buhari tsunami of 2015 helped him won convincingly in 2015 and he should be grateful to God for the opportunity, instead of forming a thin god.
