Why Tinubu Will Not Humiliate Wike Openly by Dotherightthing(op): 10:49am On Mar 22, 2025
President Tinubu doesn't fear Wike. He just doesn't want to be an ingrate.

Wike went all out for Tinubu in 2023. It was just too much

Tinubu's opponents are waiting to mock Wike if Tinubu humiliates him.

They want to say 'Ntoor', 'Didnt we tell you, you can't trust a Yoruba man?', 'Serves you right' etc etc

In the future, Wike will be used as a reference as to why a southern governor should not do anti-party activities to support a Yoruba candidate.

Tinubu doesn't want that to happen

Anybody that is smart knows that state of emergency in Rivers actually favours Fubara and is indirectly cutting Wike to size. That is why he has been mum since the declaration.

Wike armed with the Supreme Court ruling was already feeling unassailable and implacable and was bent on removing Fubara at all cost.

Now, the state of emergency has reset everything.

By the time they are resuming, the state assembly must promise to cooperate with the governor rather than Wike. They dare not talk about impeachment.

Wike would have lost his beloved structure at long last.

This is how Tinubu is codedly dealing with Wike's excesses.

Wike is not currently elected into any political position in Rivers state

Accusing Wike of being the one behind the unrest in Rivers state is just a silly excuse

Fubara is having issue with the state assembly members and local government chairmen.

The Rivers state assembly members are grown men and women who can make decisions by themselves without waiting for Wike. Nobody wants to be slave of others

I'm just calling your attention to how poor and illogical your thought process is.
Here you are claiming HoA members deserve to be free to make their decisions as adults.
I just want to know your thoughts on the Lagos assembly in the light of this your stance

Wike didn't have any tangible structure again as at the time this crisis started, I don't understand all this damage control you people have been doing these past few days. There's NOTHING Wike could have promised Tinubu concerning Rivers state 2027 that Fubara wouldn't be able to give him on a platter without a drop of drama but look at now, they all look like horribly inept bullies and have soiled their reputations irretrievably with an unnecessary scandal

Wike thinks he is fighting for Wike but wike is going to learn and he is going to learn in a hard Way because he didn't see the game Tinubu is playing with him.

Immediately I saw the news of explosion in River state I knew this is something terrible in river state, I wanted to say something about the plan of APC government but I discover that my account has been mute by one of the APC mode, it the next day they unmute my account back. APC have started another violence in OSUN State because they are looking for another State of Emergency in OSUN State.

The Supreme Court judgment had restored the structure back to him

Without the state of emergency imposed, he would have indirectly taken over the state and everybody will align. Fubara will go home and rest.

Wike is a loyal man, Tinubu knows he has a friend in him.

I respect that about Wike. He went all out for the president and he deserves to be treated with utmost respect.

True. But his excesses are too much.

I am sure Tinubu must have told him to let Fubara be for the time being but he won't budge.

Wike wants to be Jagaban of Rivers which Tinubu cannot allow.

Wike wants to be as powerful in 2027 as he was in 2023. That's too much to ask for or allow.
