They do all those things you advised.
During NYSC days you can hardly differentiate between them and we southerners in thinking and exposure.
Their christainity is even a bit more stoic
That's not true. Northerners (both Christians and Muslims) rarely leave Nigeria for greener pastures. The Nigerians that everyday people know outside Nigeria are mostly Edo, Igbo and Yoruba. These three travel more than anyone else.

One lady once made a video complaining that she has never seen a northerner from an average family living abroad. Northerners in their comment section were unanimous in saying that they don't like leaving Nigeria for greener pastures.

He stated that the university aims to offer high-tech courses in Applied Sciences and has plans to establish a College of Medicine. Alausa highlighted that the establishment of the university was a deliberate effort to stimulate development in Southern Kaduna and promote fairness and equality across the country.
Thank you Tinubu. History will remember you.

Hell Rufai is a religious bigot that shouldn't be in the corridors of power.

So you mean you dont know that Knowledge is power. If education is provided to people, they will be enlightened and be better to themselves and also to the world. Dont you know that majority of issues that certain ethnic group has in this country is lack of quality education? They dont even know that lack of education is affecting them as they think they are educated. For instance no educated fellow who is intelligent with sense will ever believed the lies that Buhari was dead and cloned. Yet they are so foolish to believe it? Where is the education in that? From my own understanding, only dull and stupid illiterates will allow someone from far away foreign land to be remotely controlling them to the extent of stopping them from doing their businesses every Monday even though the terrorist is not in Nigeria and they all unintelligently comply and you want to tell me such people are educated? That is why Bishop Kukah said that 60% of their problems are solved by that university because they will get quality education not the type that will believing lies like those with half-baked education

Obviously I was responding to someone who went to school but never educated and that is why you could not understand the benefits and importance of having a university with quality education. Do you know how to search in Google or better still search those questions from ChatGPT or Deepseek for better understanding. I dont know why many Nigerians just went to school only to waste their family resources. It is really a shame!

U too add salt nab😆 most Christian dominated state in the North? Where u leave Venue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Taraba etc..

TimeManager:
Is God not wonderful to the people of Southern Kaduna?, What more could they ask for?. If they were from the SS, people would have said the President is placating them because of oil and gas. But then, Southern Kaduna is not the only Christian dominated zone in the North but remember, they are the most marginalized, oppressed and forgotten. So what Mr President is trying to do is to help them catch up with other regions in the North as quickly as possible. And that is very commendable.

To educate you further. I will summarise answers to all your questions below: I hope you will no longer be uneducated but intelligent after
reading:

The problems people face, especially in terms of security, can be numerous and complex. They often stem from various socio-economic, political, and cultural issues, including:

1. Personal Security
Crime: People living in areas with high crime rates experience personal safety concerns, such as theft, assault, or violence and attack.

Violence and Conflict: Political instability, social unrest, or even domestic violence can threaten the safety of individuals.

Cybersecurity Threats: With the rise of technology, issues like identity theft, data breaches, and online harassment are growing concerns.

2. Socio-Economic Issues
Poverty and Unemployment: Lack of access to basic needs like food, healthcare, and shelter can contribute to crime and insecurity.

Lack of Education: Without education, people may not have access to well-paying jobs or opportunities to improve their lives, which can lead to desperation and crime.

3. Environmental Risks
Natural Disasters: Earthquakes, floods, and hurricanes are examples of environmental threats that can impact security in certain regions.

Climate Change: Rising sea levels, wildfires, and extreme weather events may pose a risk to people's security, especially in vulnerable areas.

4. Health and Public Safety
Pandemics: Health threats like COVID-19 or other infectious diseases can disrupt daily life and cause insecurity.

Healthcare Access: People living in underserved areas may struggle to access proper healthcare, leading to further socio-economic instability.

How the University of Kaduna Can Address These Issues:
When a university is established in a region, it can address these problems in several ways:

Education as a Pathway to Security:

Universities provide education, which can help reduce poverty and unemployment. By equipping people with skills and knowledge, they can access better jobs, contribute to their communities, and reduce economic disparities.

An educated population is generally less likely to engage in criminal activities and more likely to support peaceful, democratic systems.

Promoting Research on Security and Social Issues:

Universities conduct research that can help identify and propose solutions to pressing security issues using sciences such as crime prevention, disaster management, cybersecurity, and public health.

The research can inform policies and practices that address local and national security concerns.

Community Engagement and Social Services:

Universities often work closely with local communities, offering programs that address social issues, provide services, or engage in volunteer work. This can contribute to reducing social unrest and improving public safety.

Universities often have programs to help disadvantaged individuals or communities, offering them the resources to improve their lives.

Creation of Safe Spaces:

Campuses themselves can serve as safe spaces for students, offering secure environments with security personnel, surveillance, and emergency protocols in place.

The presence of a university in Kaduna will also contribute to a safer neighborhood by reducing crime and increasing community cohesion.

Economic Development:

Universities often stimulate local economies by creating jobs, attracting investment, and promoting innovation. A stronger local economy can reduce poverty, which in turn can reduce insecurity.

By producing graduates with expertise in various fields, universities help to develop a workforce that can address local issues, including security, infrastructure, and healthcare.

Science and innovations:

This university of Southern Kaduna will focus on programs related to science, and medical studies, contributing to a more stable society.

Students, faculty, and research centers can work to mediate local disputes and create frameworks for resolving conflicts.

In Summary:
The establishment of a university in Kaduna may not directly solve every security problem but can have a significant indirect impact by addressing underlying causes of insecurity such as poverty, lack of education, and lack of economic opportunity. By providing education, conducting research, fostering community engagement, and contributing to economic development, universities play a critical role in creating more secure, stable, and prosperous societies.

Buddy, why are you so pained? As in, I don’t get it. One would have expected normal folks to appreciate the efforts being made to resolve the age long Southern Kaduna crisis but it’s so sad seeing you Ibo folks getting angry over this development. Do you want the educational marginalization that southern Kaduna people have complained about over the years to continue or what?

If Peter Obi had won the 2023 election and he’s the one doing what Tinubu is doing for southern Kaduna, will you be this angry and be maligning the reputation of Mathew Kukah?
Leave Ibo and Peter Obi out of it and apply common sense

Answer this simple question:
In the past 8 years, what has been the biggest complaint from southern Kaduna? Is it lack of access to higher education or insecurity and subjugation in their God- given land?

I don't have a problem with the university apart from the bloating of govt expenses it might incur but to say a university solves majority of the problems faced by the people of southern Kaduna is a big fat lie

I know you don't have the capacity to interrogate issues beyond bigotry and politics but I still expect that you aren't bereft of common sense!!
