dollarnaira:Yes it can be felt and can also be incereased but it's best for a small room or else u want two of it. But it serves my kids which is why i bought it and saves energy. You can also consider Qasa 20 watts 18 inches standing fan. It's better because of it's larger blade and still maintains 20 watts. |

https://github.com/syssi/esphome-jk-bms. Easy to assemble and works very well. I have been running it for about 3 years with 2 jk-bmses. xtremeidea: |

adrusa:As i write, i am still trouble shooting this. The problem is that for some reason unknown to me it wont connect to the BMS. I used a BLE scanner to retrieve the Mac address. It's a Deriy battry with JK BMS Hardware version - V15A. Please can you share your Esphome code let me see if we are on the same page. adrusa:are you using wired via the ports or wireless via BLE? Please I would appreciate if you can put me through on how you connected yours. My esp32 won't just connect to the Mac address. I have swapped multiple esp32s. Same issue. The app connects and works well.

I am guessing they already did energy audit before settling for a 5kva inverter. If no, the first thing is to do proper energy audit. The next thing is to avoid that installer. meohio7777: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 6:20am On Mar 23, 2025 |
meohio7777:You need a 7kva+ inverter, and even at that try not to do something silly like run your heater and submersible pump at the same time as other loads. Either use heater, or the pump. Not both at once. Minimum PV array this installation needs is between 4500-5000w. Minimum. Do you plan on having your fridges and freezers on 24/7? If yes, you need a 15kwh Lifepo4 battery. Also, if yes, you'd also need to bump up your PV array to around 7000w. Lastly, as the gentleman above said. Ditch that installer. |

QuoteJust1nce:You cant do 9s2p on the growatt spf6000es. The spf6000es has a current limit of 16A each on each mppt string. The jinko 580w produces around 14amps of current, 9s2p will produce 28amps, unless you intend doing 9series on each pv input/mppt. Correct me if I'm wrong tho. I use same config as you, spf5000es with 9pieces 580w. Max voltage ive got is 431v. For the spf6000es i believe each string should be 500v 16amp each, for individual mppt. |

I greet the bosses in the house. Please, how much can set up a sufficient solar installation for 2 laptops that will be plugged in from 9am to 7pm daily? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 10:45am On Mar 23, 2025 |
Tenshades:If not gaming laptops, you effectively just need about 90w. Cheap sachet inverter Cheap PWM charge controller One 350w panel Can probably get away with a used tubular battery No reason why this should cost more than ~300k. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Tenshades(m): 10:54am On Mar 23, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:Ok...not gaming laptops. Just old toshiba and lenovo laptops How about new battery |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 11:08am On Mar 23, 2025 |
Tenshades:But why? Unless there are loads you're not telling us about. Or you plan to add more load in the future? If you want a new battery, just buy Cworth's cheap 100aH lifepo4 battery that's under 200k. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Tenshades(m): 11:47am On Mar 23, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:No extra loads for now....I also plan to expand later |

dollarnaira:Has to be as cheap as possible, and no one builds the kind of lower capacity lifepo4 batteries that would fit into that. Since he turns off at 7pm, that's effectively just 180wh. |

Hello guys. I saw this from a friend. The inverter capacity is 1400VA/1000W. 4 panels and two batteries. * firstly how good is that setup snd how good is that inverter. *secondly he said he has no idea on how to charge the battery separately while using power grid separely. (That's when there is light). The only way the batter charges is when the inverter is in use and nepa brings light. Is there a way the battery can be charging separately while you're using power grid at the same time? Thanks for your input.
