Another reason why a country with three majority ethnic can never work is that each of those ethnic group know that their numbers are larger than most countries in Africa. Most countries in Africa are not up to 10 million people, but Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo are individually over 40 million each.

They should have been three different countries. The only way Nigeria might have worked is if the country was run as a confederation, where the three ethnic groups are countries of their own, within a country, but with a weak centre
