Stop judging the success of a government by how much a kongo of garri or rice costs.
How will the people judge the government if not by what the see and feel. Generating trillions that make the people poorer doesn't do anyone any good. Could you imagine that if your monthly income is 200k you are classified as poor?

What trailer? Crude is measured by flow pumps you don't make nor caliberate , it's what the flow pump tells you is a barrel you will accept , even your tiny Petro stations do it to you and you can't argue

Not against taxation, as every government must tax her citizens and every citizen owe government the responsibility to pay taxes.

However this government in Nigeria is taxing the poor of the poor disproportionately.

Increasing VATs and the outrageous bank charges over very small transactions plus monthly bank deductions for no service rendered will further increase poverty and not reduce it.

My wife visited Nigeria a few weeks ago and she returned to confirm to me the intensity of poverty enveloping the country.

It was President Tinubu who said ‘let the poor breath’ but in this government of his, the poor are seriously dying out of suffocation from his tax regime and policies.
That's the reason Tinubu came up with the new tax policy. It will take money more from the rich than the poor to form a more robust tax system. You heard how many politicians were kicking against it. For the first time in the history of Nigeria we have a government which seems to be Planning the economy of the country for today and tomorrow. Is Tinubu and his people corrupt? Very but not more corrupt than others before him.

The sad reality is that you will get next to nothing in return..... All the money is meant to make the three arms of government live fat on plenty resources which they are entitled to because they all believe they paid heavily to get to their position

Judges get free houses and increase in salary plus allowances...same for executives and law makers.....make no mistake.the masses are only part tax payment but never the true beneficiary

To be honest I don't benefit anything from paying my tax every month which I have never failed. It's a pity sha cry cry why do I have to pay tax.
