Now that corp members will start receiving the minimum wage what about Nigeria civil servants that has not started receiving the minimum wage, what will become their fate? Prices of everything thing has increased but the government didn’t increase the minimum wage from 30k as promised and NLC annd TUC are not saying anything. This government is a scam

This is the usual thing, I don't know why today guys are so impatient and lack respect. Every time Corpers' allawi increased by government, it usually takes some months before implementation and backlog are usually paid. Govt needs to find solution to that though.

Lagos — Pension teachers in Lagos State under the aegis of Teacher Pensioners of Nigeria (TEPAN) have urged Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to review his stance on paying the harmonised three year old outstanding pension allowance or risk losing their votes.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of TEPAN, Mr. Ayodabo 'Lade, accused Tinubu of failing to pay the arrears to teachers on their correct pension grade since the year 2000, contrary to what was obtainable in other five States of the South-west controlled by the Alliance for Democracy (AD).

The allawance is for daily expense of the corp member not some reitrement benefit , so how do you want them to run their lives while on national duty?

That's means there's no justice in this country during our time we were denied almost ₦100k just because of this recklessness and no body is talking about it. Are you also going to pay us our backlog too? I mean during Buhari s tenure.

I don't think they would pay the ones who are not active in service. They grudgingly said they would pay, so I don't think their pay will extend to those ones.

I don't entirely believe they will pay the backlogs even to active corps members. I watched the video interview, the minister for youth said, "the backlogs payment isn't going to be immediate." That statement doesn't give assurance. I understand Nigeria.
