A man identified as Johnson Sunday was
allegedly st@bbed to d3ath by his apprentice,
Udeji Bright in Ogiriga community, Okpella in
Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State.


It was gathered that the incident occurred on
Friday night, March 21, 2025.

According to a Facebook user who shared
details about the incident, an eyewitness, both
men were reportedly fighting over a teenage girl.


“Mr Udeji Bright is an apprentice to Mr. Johnson Sunday (deceased) who is a trailer driver. It was said they were f!ghting over a girl who is said to be just 16-17yrs old thereabout. Mr Johnson Sunday was st@bbed from the back around 11pm last night. The m*rderer is said to be in police custody as at the time of making this report. The last slide is the m*rderer.,” the witness reportedly narrated.


It was gathered that the incident has caused
tension in the community.

According to reports, angry youths set ablaze a
house belonging to the suspect's father.
