Focus on your own countries , America is not God for God sake ,

People especially in Africa ,need to grow up from American addiction .

Except regarding Tariffs ,No body gives a sh@t about Trump and his policies among Asian countries .
Only the middle eastern countries ,for obvious reasons are bothered .

Thats true , at least , he is open about how USAID screwed African countries .

Time to hold the African leaders to account .

But alas ,the black people in Africa does not read beyond 2 lines in a single passage as proven many times in nairaland .

Lets Liberate ourselves from western slavery and start questioning, then we can talk .

I asked for clarification from another guy regarding something supposedly funny and you on-load your completely irrelevant emotional unhinged rant on me through some strawman argument existing purely in your own head.

Are you alright dude? How was your day? Are you on meds?

🤣😂 thanks for describing the guy you quoted up there.
Africans hardly read, even if you tell it like it is to our faces, we still don't understand.
When I see an African indoctrinated by Europe and America, I just laugh. Those two should be declared enemies of Africa whom we are permanently at war with.

At least we finally get to see a proper aerial. Alaro is trying but is lagging behind his mates Konza and Tatu City which are no longer in this league in terms of space take up. The industrial zone of Tatu city is already at over 70 companies set up or in their final touches. Alaro will soon be overtaken by the new Northlands city which is coming up super fast.

Northlands City, Kenya

▪️This is an ambitious real estate project being set up in an 11,576 Hectares of Land in Ruiru, near Nairobi-Kenya (about 20 KMs from Nairobi)

▪️For context purpose, 11,576 Acres is equivalent to about 47 Sq.KMs (this is nearly equivalent to Roysambu Constituency in Nairobi or more than double Alaro city)

▪️That is, when completed, the Northlands City by area will be equivalent to the famous Roysambu Constituency where many Nigerians set in but never leave once they do

▪️The City is a mixed-use estate comprising residential, industrial, and commercial units

▪️Based on the City's Master Plan, about 3,570 Acres have been set aside for housing; of which,

3,134 Acres are set aside for low density housing

306 acres for high density housing

130 acres for medium density residential housing

▪️The City is planned to house 250,000 people; and assuming its a stand alone City, it would currently be the 9th largest in Kenya by population

▪️Besides the housing, the City is expected to have a Business District sitting on 390 acres of land

▪️Of the above 390 acres, 33 acres are earmarked for a shopping mall and a hotel and 2 acres for a clubhouse

▪️An additional 695 acres have been set aside for construction of an industrial park

▪️The plan for the City is being implemented over 4 phases that will run for nearly 50 years

▪️The Northlands City is currently under progress with some infrastructure underway

▪️The land where the city is being set up is owned by the Kenyatta Family and is currently occupied by Brookside, and Gicheha Farm

I don't know what you mean by 'lagging behind.'
For context, Àlaro city was launched In late 2019 and went on break for a year due to covid while Tatu city started in 2012 and konza was launched in 2013.

Tatu city does not have 80 industries set up, it has 80 industries registered which is exactly the same number Alaro has courtesy of their website.
Tatu city has more industries with actual physical structures up only because it outdates Alaro, which is to be expected.

Konza city is a pipe dream. They have only built roughly a couple kilometers of horizontal structures and a couple of cheap buildings since 2013. It's not exactly the utopia it was advertised as. If they keep on building the types of building they are currentlyn putting up, even Tatu city would be a much better city than Konza.

Northlands is a joke. U already know that one would fail because it's a glorified residential estate and not a city.

Here is a better video of Alaro for you to enjoy.

horizontal infrastructure alone was taunted to be 2billion when it was first announced. As a result of inflation. And other things, I am sure this cost esteemed is wrong.
Mind you, this does not include cost of the builidngs. The cost only covers bridges, water, roads electricity etc.

Wrong again, as usual. Actually, out of all cities mentioned the only one that cannot fail is Northlands city because of who backs it - The Kenyatta Family. This is their baby and they are stopping at nothing to ensure it is the best planned, most advanced city in Kenya. The city comes with its own runway, the Nairobi Gate Industrial Park, and will be hosting multinationals, including UN bodies. The purely industrial zone is already operational with a fully integrated Customs Control Area (CCA) for seamless incorporated customs control - the first in EA. What I'm basically telling you is if you are banking on any project to fail this is definitely not one of them.

No doubt Alaro is slumbering along at snail's pace but she has a long way to go. COVID did not stop the construction industry anywhere, in Kenya things continued being built while adhering to mask mandates. We literally built dams and other mega infrastructures during COVID because of eased logistics with the minimal traffic. Nairobi expressway for instance was built from 2020-2022. Was Alaro a unique case? I dont know where you dug the figure 80 from because I quoted 70, which is a figure accessible directly from Tatu City's website https://www.tatucity.com/now-selling/tatu-industrial-park/

And stop lying, Alaro has only 59 businesses https://www.alarocity.com/why-choose-alaro-city/

Where are you digging these figures from? The actual websites of both cities give all this information. Are you more up-to-date than them?

As for Konza, you just need to shut up and wait for me to kill you with more pictures in the days to come. This is not Eko Atlantic! Btw, photos below are for Northlands city/Nairobi gate industrial park. The city itself is coming up furiously I can share more photos if you wish.

It’s wild how there’s a Balkan esc war going on in the middle of Africa and The East African Community is essentially warring between it’s members. How is little o’l Rwanda causing such a ruckus right smack dab in the center of the neighborhood committee so causally and unchallenged? Not to mention the possibility of another South Sudan civil war breaking out.

I remember only a few years ago when this was speculated to happen in the ECOWAS neighborhood because of the junta alliance which has moderately calmed down the past year.

The EAC never should have expanded.

Thoughts?

People accuse ECOWAS of many things especially of being puppets to the likes of France but I would say despite the French influence, ECOWAS is the most active African regional bloc.

Actually, If tatu city is still at 70, that would mean that Alaro city has surpassed it.
The information on Alaro city website is outdated. Alaro city is currently at over 80 industries. Confirmations of this was made in one of the recent press briefings at a tour the lagos state governor made to Alaro city. Plus, I also attached a post from Alaro city on instagram over 5weeks ago where it was stated that the number of industries then was at 79.

To be fair, the info at Tatu website is also outdated because I watched a very recent press briefing from the owners and it was also at 80 just like Alaro city.

What this means is that the appetite for Alaro city is much more than that of Tatu. But that was to be expected. The surrounding infrastructure of Alaro city includes an over 1billion usd airport, a 20billion refienry and a 1.5 billion seaport. Where as, the surrounding infrastructure at Tatu is a coffee fam and some poorly constructed houses by kukuyi land lords.
