Mention the lie in Obi's statement

Then he should contest for an elective position.
Not to wait for appointment.
He had the opportunity on a platter but rejected it several times. He is a Journalist and wants to remain as one. He , Dele Alake and Gbenga Daniel, all Greatest Akokites, were the ones who recommended and introduced Prof Yemi Osinbajo, another Greatest Akokite, to Asiwaju Tinubu in 1999.
Mr Bayo Onanuga will not leave Journalism for elective political offices. This appointment alone took a lot of persuasion before he accepted it. Largely because of the inexperience of the Young man who was handling the role before he came on board.

Be mindful too Sir, you'll regret and reflect back and make same type of statements......

So whomsoever is aspiring to a position of power in Nigeria is restricted from voicing anything that they think is going wrong in the country. Doesn't Onanuga's position emphasize the truth in Obi's submission on the failure of democracy.

I have never hated being a Nigerian than now. It's a shame

Dear Bayo Onanuga,

Over two hundred (200) opinion leaders, thought leaders, lawyers, retired head of state and eminent Nigerians have commented on the Rivers State "State of emergency" declaration by PBAT.

You singled out only Peter Obi for warning ? Please warn Prof. Wole Soyinka too. What's is Reno Omokori & Onanuga's obsession with Peter Obi.

Onanuga should take a cue from Godwin Emefiele and know that "tables turn" and power is transient.

Old man without common sense !

He was threatening Peter Obi in his mind as he was typing the post. He just didn't write it because of the backlash that would follow.
They don't know nothing more than threatening whoever tells them the truth.
How can a democratically elected governor and members of a state assembly be "suspended" by a civilian president and you are cautioning someone who rightly says you have pulled down democracy!
Obi is their albatross. OBJ said the same thing. GEJ said the same thing. Wole Soyinka said the same thing. Many others said the same thing or worse in more ways than one, but he must single out Obi for a WARNING. these people are so shameless they can't hide their prejudice

It's obvious that you are the indomie generation. When Mr Obi was receiving appointments and contracts from late General Sani Abacha, Mr Bayo Onanuga was amongst those fighting Abacha to restore the democracy and freedom of speech Mr Obi is trying to abuse today. Mr Bayo Onanuga is way far ahead of Mr Obi in our democracy and he's one of those who can tell Mr Obi to go sit down and keep quiet. Mr Bayo Onanuga is way way above Obi!

Go and read about the guerrilla Tempo Magazine , The News Magazine etc that was being distributed and sold in the pre-dawn dark during the draconian years of late Abacha and ask Obi where he was then.
Obi was receiving contracts and appointments Gen Abacha stained with the blood of our democracy heroes and matyrs.

Mr Obi is the leader and Chief-Instigator of the insolent, unpatriotic, sectional bigots who are the anti-democracy agents.
Nobody outside his tribe was allowed to vote for other Nigerians in his land-locked SE geopolitical zone of Nigeria during the 2023 Presidential election. Even votes the agents of other political parties cast for other Nigerians were stolen in his ward!
You have brain, please use it.

What, or which political position has Bayo been elected before?

Bayo is not recognized politically, so rest.

With the long years of relationship he had with Asiwaju and the consistent hardwork he put in the election of Asiwaju Tinubu in 1999 and later 2023, do you and they think he could not have been a Minister or Ambassador to any country of his choice. There's a reason he accepted this current appointment, when he did so and if you and they don't get it, I can't help you guys wink

His capacity and capability appears to be ONLY in running people down and warning them against speaking against his boss. Those are not qualities of a potential ambassador, may be a Minister like Wike (and we are all witnesses to that one's efficiency), yes. Bro, Onanuga can only do what he is able to do (fighting imaginary enemies). Nemo dat quod non habet

Obi is accusing the Judiciary of being compromised because justice is now for sale. That is a silly thing to say, as a politician who will need the judiciary in the future. We know that Justice has always been in the cart, just that the checkout process was behind a paywall of economic stability.

With hyperinflation coupled with cash crunch, things have fallen apart, the center cannot hold.

No President can truly restore Nigeria to its default setting without breaking the Law, so Tinubu must be allowed to concentrate in decentralizing the Federation.

Democracy is not a good form of government, and should die if need be. I particularly prefer the Chinese model of Governance. It is called Meritocracy.

This was how many ignorant people down graded late Gani Fawehinmi till they learnt that he owned and successfully managed a highly profitable publishing company. It's obvious that you don't know him. I am not engaging the Indomie generation again. Please

Indomie generation? Really? Well, Onanuga still can't give what he doesn't have. Even his contemporaries have said so repeatedly. They are certainly not all Indomie generation. Like someone said up there, he should think about Emefiele and reflect on happenstance because everything (including power is fleeting and transient)

I completely agree with you, but what I am saying is irrespective of how the solutions are achieved in Courts, the present Federal Government under Tinubu, Akpabio and Wike, are doing the right things that ought to have been done decades ago and should not be distracted.

If they can achieve what I am hoping via fiat or lobbying, so be it. We can no longer sustain the Government without these reforms. If we do not reform now, Nigeria will die.
